  • i new it was them in that movie!..finally found the vid

  • Was it really necessary to tag it through the whole video?

  • Why cant ALL proms be like this? where everyone just bust out doing a dance lol. but nooooo

  • WHEEZE THE JUICE! SHOOOOSH

  • funky ;)

  • I'm the weasel!!!!!!

  • Possibly the lamest thing I've ever heard/seen from the Infectious Grooves.

I'm not surprised I haven't seen it before now, since the movie is also pure sh*t.

    @prettylola1 - The intro to YYZ is not 4/4, it's 5/4.

  • It's funny to see Michael DeLuise went from that to TJ on "Gilmore Girls" lol

  • Funkylicious!

  • FUNKING EPIC!!!

  • infectious!

  • i lov e that movie lol!

  • well i sure as hell don't listen to Rush. but if i did, it would be as the only alternative to this

Muir's lowest-point, surely? n proof fame is a bad thing. IG had one amazing debut, some of the finest funk ever laid down, but they should have focused on one project thereafter. or maybe both vehicles were out of gas regardless? Suicidal For Life was a nice finale from the classic ST lineup; saved before the bell. but IG should've only released The Plague.

  • RUSH!!!!!!!

  • Dam love this dance and song. Soo cool

  • It is similar from Rush! Yes.

  • great scene love the boys dance! Luv it brendan can dance!!

  • This is an incredible film and an amazing performance. I think he was only 23 at the time. Youth has it's beauty, but age has a charm all of it's own. He was adorable in this but he had more sex appeal in the mummy just a couple of years ago. If you hate him it may because women love him, and you should see some of his other 40 odd films. He is incredibly talented.

  • Muir looks funny in the beginning. And who said white man can't dance? this shit is awesome.

  • hahhah bendadn dances really good!!!!! hehehe

  • Everyday i always hear this music... hehhee :)

  • This scene is so awesome. I love this movie!

  • why? i dont love him but he isnt that bad

  • robert truhillo awsome

  • omg great time those loved INFECTIOUS GROOVES and the movie was cool

  • Muy Bueno.

  • did anyone else notive Robert Trujilo (Metallica's newest bass player) ? you can actually see him on the stage at a few different points. major fuckin points for him bein in a classic comedy like this! =)

  • rob trujillo played in a band called infectious grooves.

if u havent noticed it, this band is infectious grooves

  • Is it just me, or did this intro sound extremely similar to YYZ by Rush?

  • No, it's not just you... It does sound like YYZ for a couple times in the song.

  • muir put that bit in there on purpose

  • @CoolBlokeAndABit

A little similar to YYZ, but in a different time signature.

  • @prettylola1 Both songs have the exact same time signature of 4/4. The scale intervals are the same in the intro, the primary difference is the key, as well as the tempo and phrasing (i.e. the only similarity is the scale intervals played in succession). But, as I described in another comment on this video, there are only 12 notes in western diatonic music, so you will tend to hear some similarities, especially notes in sequential riffs.

  • @CoolBlokeAndABit Similar, but it is a half-step up(rather than C# to G, it is D to G#); Fishbone's "Servitude" also uses the same scale intervals reversed. Also, the phrasing, tempo and feel are completely different. In reality, there are only 12 notes in western music, therefor you will tend to hear similarities in melody, as well as the same chord changes or harmonic structure. What makes songs different from each other is the ability to transform those 12 notes in time, meter and phrasing.

  • @CoolBlokeAndABit That's the very first thing that I thought when I first saw the movie!

  • love it, slike the best film wva, must buy bu-uddy. wheezin the ju-uicce

  • Talk to the hand! DUDE!!!

  • the best part of this dance is when pauly first comes into it and twist with his purple bell bottoms lmao.

  • Infecto Groovalicious!

  • Best. Dance Scene. Ever.

  • encino man!

favourite movie since i was like 3 haha

  • Someone please clear this up for me:

Mike Muir was the frontman for both Infectious Grooves and Suicidal Tendencies. Since the latter band was the one he was most famous for, was Infectious Grooves meant as a side project, or was it formed during a break in Suicidal Tendencies' touring schedule?

  • Infectious Grooves was a side project. After Suicidal had been around for years then Rob Trujillo joined the band. He turned Mike on to funk music and they started Infectious Grooves as a funky side project.

  • I learn something new everyday. Funny how that works eh?

  • i love this movie! its awesome!, im from england and its called california man, weird huh? lol! BUT its still awesome no matter wat its called!

  • i loved the movie encino man! Pauly Shore was my fav person in it... hes soooooo funny

  • geiler Film mit noch geilerer Mucke!

"... grätsch mir nich so schräg in die Attitüden, Altkruste!"

  • the quest to make the greatest movie of all time is ultimately pointless, because the greatest film of all time, Encino Man with Pauly Shore, has already been made.

  • Favorite movie, and even better, this song and the dance!!!
