well i sure as hell don't listen to Rush. but if i did, it would be as the only alternative to this
Muir's lowest-point, surely? n proof fame is a bad thing. IG had one amazing debut, some of the finest funk ever laid down, but they should have focused on one project thereafter. or maybe both vehicles were out of gas regardless? Suicidal For Life was a nice finale from the classic ST lineup; saved before the bell. but IG should've only released The Plague.
This is an incredible film and an amazing performance. I think he was only 23 at the time. Youth has it's beauty, but age has a charm all of it's own. He was adorable in this but he had more sex appeal in the mummy just a couple of years ago. If you hate him it may because women love him, and you should see some of his other 40 odd films. He is incredibly talented.
bad actor who ruins the films he's in. classic example- airheads. buscemi and sandler were great, fraser sucked. the mummy franchise, good kid films, fraser shite. he should be locked up in a cage and fed to the christians
did anyone else notive Robert Trujilo (Metallica's newest bass player) ? you can actually see him on the stage at a few different points. major fuckin points for him bein in a classic comedy like this! =)
@prettylola1 Both songs have the exact same time signature of 4/4. The scale intervals are the same in the intro, the primary difference is the key, as well as the tempo and phrasing (i.e. the only similarity is the scale intervals played in succession). But, as I described in another comment on this video, there are only 12 notes in western diatonic music, so you will tend to hear some similarities, especially notes in sequential riffs.
@CoolBlokeAndABit Similar, but it is a half-step up(rather than C# to G, it is D to G#); Fishbone's "Servitude" also uses the same scale intervals reversed. Also, the phrasing, tempo and feel are completely different. In reality, there are only 12 notes in western music, therefor you will tend to hear similarities in melody, as well as the same chord changes or harmonic structure. What makes songs different from each other is the ability to transform those 12 notes in time, meter and phrasing.
Mike Muir was the frontman for both Infectious Grooves and Suicidal Tendencies. Since the latter band was the one he was most famous for, was Infectious Grooves meant as a side project, or was it formed during a break in Suicidal Tendencies' touring schedule?
Infectious Grooves was a side project. After Suicidal had been around for years then Rob Trujillo joined the band. He turned Mike on to funk music and they started Infectious Grooves as a funky side project.
the quest to make the greatest movie of all time is ultimately pointless, because the greatest film of all time, Encino Man with Pauly Shore, has already been made.
i new it was them in that movie!..finally found the vid

I'm not surprised I haven't seen it before now, since the movie is also pure sh*t.
@prettylola1 - The intro to YYZ is not 4/4, it's 5/4.
