first reason is that SONY makes th god of war series just like how Microsoft makes the halo series. second, ps3 has a blueray drive meaning that more detail can be put into the game. third you dont see sony halo fans see for halo on the ps3
Actualy ps3 uses blue ray where a single layerd blueray disk = 25gb, where as a single layer DVD disk =4.7gb. So Ps3 has more gaming potential. Not to mention that 360's arnt even true hd consoles, they play regular DVD not even HD ! Also the gaming industry works by LCD so since xbox uses DVD format, its preventing full game potential. Like in GTA, with blueray, you could go into ALL of the buildings. So before you bitch about ps3, look at the bigger picture.

Not necessarily. Technically, if they just ported it over directly, its about 6 discs. Second, the reasons it took so much memory is because they didnt compress the audio/cutscenes. I'm no fanboy, but It's starting to get annoying how people say its impossible on xbox 360.

A blueray single layer blueray disk holds 4x more than a single layer DVD disk. Xbox is not full HD, it plays DVD with regular DVD def, not Full HD DVD. Your the type of person who doesn't even know what other people are talking about !

Why did there even need to be a GOW 2? the first one had a great conclusion! It's like the same thing with Pirates of the Carribean, the first one was great! Stop making more of them!
Well, yes. But a sequel to Assassin's Creed was inevitable since the game ended with a cliffhanger instead of just ending. MGS1 had a great conclusion and MGS 2+3 while entertaining, were unnecessary since the story became so convoluted it became absurd.
I can't comment on COD since I only played half of Modern Warfare before I got bored and went to go play something else. The part where you crawl around after a nuclear bomb detonating was interesting, but after that I got bored with the game.

I think the only reason why they made it a trilogy was because the first one did so well. I mean he already killed Ares the god of war and then replaced him, isn't that enough? What made the first GOW's story so great was that they really showed Kratos as a tragic character who made a deal with the devil and got screwed. In GOW 2 there's just no reason to root for him anymore. The family thing got thrown out the window in favor of throwing in some arbitrary greek god power struggle. It's stupid
It's like in Pirates of The Carribean. WIll and Elizabeth got together, Barbosa was defeated and Capt. Jack got the Black Pearl back. There really was no reason to make a 2nd and 3rd one other than making money off of the fans that liked the first movie. Same thing applies to God of War. and you dipshit fanboys can thumbsdown my posts all you want, but you know that I'm right.
Even though that was already resolved by Athena saying that those memories will never go away no matter what Kratos does. That was a great plot development because It shows that no matter what we do to try and fix something we'll forever have to live with what we have done. The issue was already resolved.
No I did not like God of War 2. There were some things in GoW 2 that I liked, for example I thought the fight with Perseus was hilarious. Gameplay-wise it was God of War only with some new toys, so nothing really changed. Story-wise though It just felt more like fan-service. It felt like everything from GoW2 were just things that didn't make it into GoW1. In other-words, if GoW1 were thanksgiving, then GoW2 was the cold leftovers used to make sandwhiches.
I'd rather have neither and appreciate the original for what it was then move onto something else. A remake would be fucking stupid because there isn't really anything to remake. For me GoW had only one game and I refuse to acknowledge it as a franchise. Just like I only acknowledged the first three star wars movies, because the new trilogy is just a huge piece of shit! GoW is done, it's sad but it's time to move on to something else.
ummm, all The GoW games were the same. Go here, kill something, move to next area, solve a light puzzle, go to new area, kill more things, fight a boss. Lather, rinse, repeat. It's not a bad game, but it pretty much was just GoW1 again.
If you look at things that way then all FPS games are the same, all Marrio games are the same, all DMC games are the same...You see were I'm going? Look at the glass half full.
But the difference between those franchises is that Mario tries to switch it up every now and again. In one game he has a water gun, next one he's in outer space, another one he's doing an RPG. Same with first person shooters, Team Fortress 2 offered different classes to play. In Section 8 you play as an orbital drop trooper, and in XIII you play in a living comic book world. I agree with DMC, but then again I hate DMC because I can't stand the main character.
But even in terms of gameplay God of War hasn't changed. It goes, kill monsters... move to next section... kill monsters... solve puzzle... boss fight. Not necessarily in that order, but honestly how long can they milk this franchise before it becomes a shitty kart racer?
I don't hate it. like I said before, I liked the first game. What I hate are sequels to brilliant games that pretty much dilute the original product by trying to arbitrarily lengthen the story line by making it needlessly complicated.
The Monkey Island series is guilty of this as well, the first two games were brilliant but everything after that was terrible. In my opinion the only sequels that were any good, were Mario and Zelda sequels since they're games focused soley on gameplay.
The Mario and Zelda games had a very thin story at best, since the whole focus of the games was having fun and solving puzzles. But then you have something like the Metal Gear series that just seems to go on and on and on and on. Don't get me wrong Metal Gear Solid 1 was great. But after that the story just became convoluted.
since when does dantes inferno have 2 weapons? ur also forgetting kratos also uses his hands to rip off a cyclop's eye after controlling him, taking a horn off a 2 headed beast to stab him with it right after, to slowly ripoff a gods head then keep it as a keepsake. notice how theyve only shown these weapons at e3...obviously they wouldnt show all of the weapons be4 the game comes out. one more do u know how much more diversity the game will have with a bow and arrows? theres also his wings

first reason is that SONY makes th god of war series just like how Microsoft makes the halo series. second, ps3 has a blueray drive meaning that more detail can be put into the game. third you dont see sony halo fans see for halo on the ps3

Actualy ps3 uses blue ray where a single layerd blueray disk = 25gb, where as a single layer DVD disk =4.7gb. So Ps3 has more gaming potential. Not to mention that 360's arnt even true hd consoles, they play regular DVD not even HD ! Also the gaming industry works by LCD so since xbox uses DVD format, its preventing full game potential. Like in GTA, with blueray, you could go into ALL of the buildings. So before you bitch about ps3, look at the bigger picture.

Not necessarily. Technically, if they just ported it over directly, its about 6 discs. Second, the reasons it took so much memory is because they didnt compress the audio/cutscenes. I'm no fanboy, but It's starting to get annoying how people say its impossible on xbox 360.

because...let us just look.... you could buy the new consoles when they come out, or you could just spend a hundred maybe 200 upgrading your pc. a pc you would use for more than just games, there are MORE games, and they all just keep getting better and better. there are way more things you can do on a pc. you name it, the pc can do it. you name it, a console might be able to do it. this is coming from a fan of the xbox 360 btw :)

A blueray single layer blueray disk holds 4x more than a single layer DVD disk. Xbox is not full HD, it plays DVD with regular DVD def, not Full HD DVD. Your the type of person who doesn't even know what other people are talking about !

Well, yes. But a sequel to Assassin's Creed was inevitable since the game ended with a cliffhanger instead of just ending. MGS1 had a great conclusion and MGS 2+3 while entertaining, were unnecessary since the story became so convoluted it became absurd.
I can't comment on COD since I only played half of Modern Warfare before I got bored and went to go play something else. The part where you crawl around after a nuclear bomb detonating was interesting, but after that I got bored with the game.

I think the only reason why they made it a trilogy was because the first one did so well. I mean he already killed Ares the god of war and then replaced him, isn't that enough? What made the first GOW's story so great was that they really showed Kratos as a tragic character who made a deal with the devil and got screwed. In GOW 2 there's just no reason to root for him anymore. The family thing got thrown out the window in favor of throwing in some arbitrary greek god power struggle. It's stupid

It's like in Pirates of The Carribean. WIll and Elizabeth got together, Barbosa was defeated and Capt. Jack got the Black Pearl back. There really was no reason to make a 2nd and 3rd one other than making money off of the fans that liked the first movie. Even though that was already resolved by Athena saying that those memories will never go away no matter what Kratos does. That was a great plot development because It shows that no matter what we do to try and fix something we'll forever have to live with what we have done. The issue was already resolved.

No I did not like God of War 2. There were some things in GoW 2 that I liked, for example I thought the fight with Perseus was hilarious. Gameplay-wise it was God of War only with some new toys, so nothing really changed. Story-wise though It just felt more like fan-service. It felt like everything from GoW2 were just things that didn't make it into GoW1. In other-words, if GoW1 were thanksgiving, then GoW2 was the cold leftovers used to make sandwhiches.

I'd rather have neither and appreciate the original for what it was then move onto something else. A remake would be fucking stupid because there isn't really anything to remake. For me GoW had only one game and I refuse to acknowledge it as a franchise. Just like I only acknowledged the first three star wars movies, because the new trilogy is just a huge piece of shit! GoW is done, it's sad but it's time to move on to something else.

ummm, all The GoW games were the same. Go here, kill something, move to next area, solve a light puzzle, go to new area, kill more things, fight a boss. Lather, rinse, repeat. It's not a bad game, but it pretty much was just GoW1 again.

But the difference between those franchises is that Mario tries to switch it up every now and again. In one game he has a water gun, next one he's in outer space, another one he's doing an RPG. Same with first person shooters, Team Fortress 2 offered different classes to play. In Section 8 you play as an orbital drop trooper, and in XIII you play in a living comic book world. I agree with DMC, but then again I hate DMC because I can't stand the main character.

I don't hate it. like I said before, I liked the first game. What I hate are sequels to brilliant games that pretty much dilute the original product by trying to arbitrarily lengthen the story line by making it needlessly complicated.
The Monkey Island series is guilty of this as well, the first two games were brilliant but everything after that was terrible. In my opinion the only sequels that were any good, were Mario and Zelda sequels since they're games focused soley on gameplay.

The Mario and Zelda games had a very thin story at best, since the whole focus of the games was having fun and solving puzzles. But then you have something like the Metal Gear series that just seems to go on and on and on and on. Don't get me wrong Metal Gear Solid 1 was great. But after that the story just became convoluted.

since when does dantes inferno have 2 weapons? ur also forgetting kratos also uses his hands to rip off a cyclop's eye after controlling him, taking a horn off a 2 headed beast to stab him with it right after, to slowly ripoff a gods head then keep it as a keepsake. notice how theyve only shown these weapons at e3...obviously they wouldnt show all of the weapons be4 the game comes out. one more do u know how much more diversity the game will have with a bow and arrows? theres also his wings
