i broke mine in 4 places and shattered my tailbone when i wrecked my quad jumping. it was awful . especially having to walk to get back on the quad after the wreck

Hi,
Looks like you're doing really well.Does the calliper support your leg or just your knee.I wore a kafo for 2 years when I was 19.
Do you wear irons up both sides of your leg?

Hello Jenny,
She really is doing quite well! She's even begun to walk without the brace! The calliper supports her leg as a whole.... somewhat acting like her knee and thigh muscle. There are sensors in the base of the brace that fits into her shoe. Those sensors trigger the brace to lock and release as needed. It basically runs the length of her leg, top to toe. We're hoping it is not permanent, but we won't know the full extent of her nerve damage for another 6 to 12 months. If her nerve comes back enough to supply her muscle, she won't have to wear the brace forever.

She is just happy to walk. It isn't painful for her to wear the brace, just a little odd, but it's working great.
