  • He should be wearing like a cape or trench coat or have long hair or something. He would looks so epic

  • @aofyn lay on the floor and breath..

  • how can distinguished is im breathing thru my diapharm or lungs?

  • Thanks

  • "the fast you run, the less you have to breath" <-- easyer said then done

  • THNx THIS REALLY HELPED I KNOW WAT I WAS DOING WRONG NOW XD i have 200m sooon

  • WHAAAA?! the faster the slower?! didnt even cross my mind haha.

  • I started jogging this morning and only lasted for 5 secs because my heart was pumping too fast and I couldn't catch my breath. Is this because my heart needs more cardio? or just because I didn't slow my breath down?

  • How does your resporitory system compensate if your muscles are more in demand for oxygen? I don't get it. The harder your muscles work the more oxygen your body needs. What am I missing here, are you fucking with us?

  • Now what do you do about side stitches?

  • ahaha wtf?? the faster you go the slower your breathing should be??? what kind of bullshit is that?

It's about breathing the proper amount, proportional to amount of force you're exerting, and keeping your breathing constant and EXHALING FULLY(eliminating CO2 buildup which causes you to fatigue faster).

  • @arjont

taking slow, but, deep breaths takes in about the same amount of air as fast, but, short breaths

  • Hope this will help thanks

  • thanks dude for the vid,but is this affective on a bicycle to prevent hyperventilation to?

    Because that's my problem ;-(

And i realy want to do cardio, for my health....

    Greetz.

  • Thanx this explains allot

  • thanks for a really good video !!

  • i always get tired so fast when i run, i really hope this technique works for me

  • I usually inhale for two steps and exhale for two steps when I go long distances. For sprinting 200 or 100m, I'll actually hold my breath for the first 10m when I'm driving out then breath in with two steps and breath out with two steps like my long distance, but much faster

  • i was enjoying his pitch & what he was saying, till the motherfucker started running on the spot.

  • rofl... I had to replay to see him running in place.. that was pretty funny after reading your post!

  • GOOD ADVICE NOT LIKE THE OTHER MORONS

  • I'll try out this theory tommorow hopefully it will aid my training =).

  • All your going to do running around with boots on is get flat feet, boot.

  • his form is messed up

he need mo trainin wit dat

  • how are you supposed to breathe with all that wind in your face

  • is that mean slower breathing make u run faster?

  • lol nice running lmfao.

you run all over the place hahaha

  • this is great advice =]

i have finals tomorow and i have a pe test.

    1 mile run

im going to try and run it in 5 mins atleast

  • did u do it in 5mins?

  • 5 mins 20 seconds.pretty good i guess for a 7th grader

  • hahah im in 7th grade and i can only run a mile in 16 minutes

  • im in 7th grade too lol

    16 minutes??

    thats not good man

    atleast under 10 mins

  • Im a 10th grader and I can run a mile in only one day

  • so ur saying tht it takes u 24 hours to run 1 mile? XD lol im kidding

  • it takes a whole day??

  • I have asthma and I can only run a mile and a half in 15 minutes, and I have to keep stopping. Im working on it tho :D

  • thanks this video helped out alot, breathing is always important in running

  • thank you:)

  • Wow thanks! I just started running and this video helped me a lot. I was getting really tired really quick and I had no idea why. Again thanks!

  • lol i have 2 say thats a good way but everybody has there way of doing it.

  • wow i didnt know you have to slow down your breathing when you run fast i thought you have to coordinate the movment of your legs with your breathing.

is it the same if you're running the 100m or 200 m ?

  • go watch the video and listen again it says

  • "Any time when your running, or activly working your Cardio" I believe he says..

  • I think his explanation might confuse a few people because while slow breathing is ideal in most situations especially long distance runs, if you want optimal performance in a short sprint (100m or 200m) then you want to speed up your breathing to match your movement. Just keep in mind, joggin or marathon races keep a slow steady breathing technique, and fast sprints keep a faster technique.

  • very nice info, thanks a bunch mate. I ran out and tested this, breathing slowly (but not too slowly like some people do) and i ran quite a bit more than usual. I think this is the first time my legs have felt like quitting before my lungs :D

  • good info. the average person takes only so many brreaths a year keep that number the same just longer deeper more conscious breaths they help u focus as well

  • never thought of it that way... no wonder i get tired fast... the faster i go the faster i breath

  • same here.

  • Nice, a simple topic that many take for granted.
