this is actually my favorite animated film adaptation for a couple of reasons 1 it felt like i was watching a special multipart saga of the classic series 2 it had good acting and dialog as you said and 3 jason asked bruce the million dollar question at the end of the movie btw you did throw in a spoiler by telling everyone that jason was the red hood

I really enjoyed yiour analysis. Excellent point about shock value and explicitness and mainstream features. I think they add it because they feel a PG-13 rating will sell better. It's a marketing move.

Batman Under The Red Hood is my favorite Batman Animated Film. Bruce Greenwood is great replacement for Kevin Conroy way better then William Baldwin from Justice League Crisis on Two Earths & John DiMaggio did a good job as well. I felt he could have done better at some parts but he was still good & at times he sounds like Hamill like with his grunts & the beginning of some his laughs. You should review BATMAN BEYOND RETURN OF THE JOKER NEXT! (UNCUT EDITION THOUGH) It was my favorite b4 B:UTRD

good movie and great review i agree that they dint show violent scenes for the sake of shock value but some of the scenes i felt dint show enough imean when someone gets beat up with a crowbar they bet bruised and cuts disfigured even not just lil scratches. and if u die in a big explosion how is your clothes still clean not ripped or burn even a lil ? but anyway the fight and chase scenes in the movie were awesome well choreographed and great animation

Lol dude I can totally relate with your thoughts on Superman Doomsday, my main problem was that they didn't u the antey on the animation which I have never been a fan of. But Under the Red Hood delivers good animation, and it doesn't get overly dramatic with their violence for example they didn't show the joker beating Jason, it showed his silhouette swinging the krobar. And dude Jensen Ackles has good delivery skills when it comes to jokes, like MTV's Room 401 he nailed that shit lol

Larry I absolutely loved this movie :) Batman's stories are always so dark and interesting
