Well the blue effect is due to the Camera I used I think. There's no added FX. I can't explain why it's so shiny , maybe because of the dark setting and other few things.

But it's defenitely due to the camera and the low light setting.

Well the blade is weightless to say. But the hilt is just a little heavy so it's quite painful to use your wrist.

technically the hilt is bigger than those used in the movies. That's why in the movies they can perform the spins and tricks easily.

Actually the best hilts are the Obiwan Episode III, Darth Maul episode I and Luke Episode BI ROTJ to have a good handle.

But the best design is still the Anakin ROTS one.

with a real lightsaber, im pretty sure the blade is weightless where as this blade weighs something giving it an extra pull... it would be like doing all those tricks with just the hilt.. not easy

well unfortuantely, they did'nt make Count Dooku saber. Maybe it ll come one day. Master Replicas is actually building custom sabers where you can modify the hilt and the blade.

It will come somwhere in 2008.

Protip: the reason it looks good in the movies is threefold: A. they're professionals, B. it's choreographed, C. EDITING.

well to make it brighter just change the batteries 1 every 2 weeks(if you use it alot) otherwise you can get away with 3to4 weeks

Yeah , those lightsaber are not called replicas for nothing , but for the glowing effect , it looks so much better when you see it after it 's been recorded on a camera.

The lightsabers are worh it , and they are pretty tough enough so you can give some hard hits.

The metal hilt for Anakin Lightsaber is really nice and also not heavy as opposed to the hilt from Darth Vader lightsaber.
