  • あ、逆だ・・・

  • LOl. what?!

  • She says that this free skating was the worst in this season.

  • Yeah, it definitely was. But look at the fight she had - putting a Triple/Triple combination at the very end of the program!

  • yes... to do a triple triple near the end is difficult :)

  • Performances that she doesn't do very well in make her 2004 World victory and her Olympic victory even better.

  • oh really? i thought it was pretty good =/

  • y isit a bitter memory for her? O_o

    oOoOo~ elegance ^,^

omg..she did a lotta spins too

  • She didn't land her jumps cleanly.

  • Yaku Chan, she had some problems with the landings in her jumps, I think it has something to do with the inconsistency with the coaching and training . But guess what. Later on, she improved. Also, her artistry didn't show until much later as she got Tarasova who gave her new ideas and also provided her with some much needed coaching and fully transformed Shizuka into an entirely different figure skater. Also it was due to the fact that she had previous experiences with ballet at a young age.

  • @waddleduckie1 I completely agree. She had just switched from Minoru Sano to Richard Callaghan to Tarasova within a year or so of leaving her long-time coach, Mr. Nagakubo! Tarasova allowed Shizuka to break through her own shells and become an entirely different skater; Shizuka always had very good basic skills and ballet training, but she wan't able to perform like a top skater until Tarasova worked her magic.
