I already had read this book written by Guy Sajer last year. It doesn't matter if it's accurate or not, but a pretty good damn read because it totally moved me into the reality of war which kind of bother me a while. I guess i'll never be the same, but anyway, I hope this movie gets done and I would love to watch this great movie. It looks pretty realistic and scary because it almost looked like you're there with him all these crazy situations.

i don't think any movie could do justice to the hell that he describes in the book. I just finished reading it today, its one of the best books ive ever read. The story of german soldiers in the eastern front has largely gone untold and i think its a story worth telling. Such an amazing book, ill never forget it. its amazing that he survived so many battles, just but by sheer luck where so many thousands died. i think hollywood war movies really sugar coat everything for us this book it very raw
