Michael Jackson ankle lock...? Incorrect. Cyril Takayama actually accepted the belief in gravity, therefore neutralizing its affectingness, allowing himself to float into these positions. It's not difficult to do once you practice accepting belief systems.

An ankle lock can not support the weight of a ~140 pound man floating on one foot - it just wouldn't work.

Look closely and you'll see what's actually going on ; )

Where there's like some kind of rod thing in his shoe that's small that inserts to a special spot on the floor to keep you in place and everything else is your personal agility. Regardless it's still a good trick which takes a long time to perfect.

wires would let him swing around like fuck on one leg, and he stays comppletely rigid, i believe its something in his pants, some kind of spring contraption that repulses his left thigh up, thus able to hold his weight on just that.

But none the less, cyril is one awesome magician, too bad there aren't any vids with translations.

You guys have no idea of how cool is the gimmick of this trick. Nobody can see it, its hidden all the time. And you can do this trick pretty much everywhere! Even on the streets.

1:09, you see the crease in his jacket? You see how his hoodie sways freely? Thats called gravity. Think logically here, no Michael Jackson thong (lol!), all his weight is on his back which is why he is able to point his toes (from his grounded foot) upward, kinda' sells the effect but also gives it away. This can be done with wires going side to side (outdoors) or you can do it from the ceiling granting you more arm movement. The wire in this footage is looped, "U" shape from the ceiling.
