i really didn't want to like matt smiths doctor because i adorded David Tennant, he can't compare to him but i think matt smith has actually done a good job and i find myself starting to like him and the new series !!! :) :)

i was worried about Matt Smith when i first saw him in the most recent episode, but from this and other things ive seen i actually think he might be okay :)

i just wish people would give him a bit of time to show us what he's got before they judge him

I'm excited for a Doctor whose episodes aren't riddled with imminent death, considering David Tennant's entire time as the Doctor seemed to revolve around his leaving. Hopefully, Matt Smith will stay on longer! Though, he has one hell of a reputation to follow.

what was David Tennant's first line? 'Ooh, new teeth' or something similar [paraphrasing], so really, that does not set him up well. i think he's got the potential to be awesome.

As fascinated as I am watching this trailer. I get irked by him saying, "trust me i'm the doctor." Is that just me? I mean, I'm excited for Matt Smith, and I hope he does really well, but not more than 10 min ago I finished EoT part 2 and I am just crushed! I'm still crying a bit as we speak. It felt like watching a family member die. But all in all, I'm pretty excited for when the new series begins. March right?

I have been looking forward to Matt Smith ever since he was first announced as the new Doctor. I think he will be brilliant.

David Tennant was good but I think everyone is definitely overreacting. I got all upset when the Christopher Eccleston left and refused to watch the next series, consequently missing out considerably.

Everyone needs to relax and remember that this is the whole point of the show. If there was no regeneration you wouldn't have had David in the first place.

Ya know if you replay the video with a plastic band music to it - it fits. Thats whats worrying. Its gone from a show adults can watch and enjoy to 'I cant act and have a list get me outta here'.

Even the catch-phase lacks imagination. As soon as I saw Davids first clip after Christopher bowed out - I though quite lit 'Oh Yes!' but the promo was naff. Play the video muted and put S-Club 7 reach on...your see what I mean. PLASTIC

Supporting the show is one thing... blinding accepting that he's going to be good is another. I'm not suggesting that the show will fail, just that the Doctor is miscast... it's happened before.

Im sorry but no way in HELL will Matt live up to being a good doctor...he looks about 10years old! I will continue watching it coz as a whole the show is brilliant but that doesnt make me like MS as the new doctor!!!!! Also I had heard the angels from 'blink' were back and as in the footage i can see....BUT i also see the doctors 'wife' that died in silence in the library......and that'll be interesting to see.....but tonights episode SO AMAZING!
