You cut the tree at the trunk (suppliers) No suppliers means no consumers. There are more consumers than suppliers. Thats how businesses stay afloat. Cut the supplier off and the consumers will evaporate (or move to something else). Mexican govt are taking a back seat. And any good mexican official that stands up will always get shot.

your logic is so ass-backwards. The supplier is the root of all problems. The supplier makes the network pipeline to move shit to the consumer. Consumers dont buy directly from the supplier. If they did, law enforcement would know exactly where to stop all trafficking. Consumers are easily replaced. No shortage of up and coming junkies. Stopping them is a waste. Starve out the consumer by attacking the supplier. Two birds with one stone. But I dont expect you to understand the logic in it.

That has very little to do with what the U.S. has done. With so much money involved everyone with a gun and some power was competing for a slice of the pie.
