  • "With out denting a fender" you cant dent a fender on those boats if you tried...

  • I have 6th wheel driving..don't ask me to explain it...

  • I have one of these.

  • If the Republicans see this they'll blame it on government regulations.

  • With US cars being mostly front wheel drive now then the market has shrunk somewhat. perhaps the large F250's and GMC's etc would find it handy.

  • That's one sweet ride !

  • wow!!!

  • Is is just me, or does the narrator sound like Mitt Romney?

  • Given the way car sizes are going in this day and age, a fifth wheel is going to become a necessity.

  • cool

  • Good idea!

  • was this real???

  • fake for sure...

  • So rather than engineer a car that wasn't the size of a house, we have this.

  • yes or just learn to parallel park like a real man.

  • great idea, there is a better way to do this... check out SideDriverDotCom

  • I guess this never took off because you lost the ability to have a trunk.

  • @Fredfredbug4 well the trunk's shape is modified. instead of having your weel flat bottom, it is vertical. same space taken

  • щас в Москве необходимо такое чудо

  • doing donut in this would be so easy

  • haha what if someone floored it that would be so sick!

  • /watch?v=hHfVp9wwEn0

  • THAT IS RADICAL!!

  • THAT IS NARLEY!!

  • i am a man and i want this... i AM the worst driver

  • The honey badger don't care. The honey badger doesn't give a shit.

  • @toddy1968 -- lol! i came straight here from the honey badger vid.

  • Me too! LOL!

  • wow

  • that is/was a quite good idea

  • my uncle installed this in his Chevy impala.

  • Wonder why they never implemented this?

  • This should be good for women... if they can handle the additional complexity (which I doubt)

  • @gustavohvguerra Hmmm wonder if you could actually handle the additional complexity since you appear to be less intelligent than most women.

  • @gustavohvguerra If we can handle men we can handle anything (complex or not).

  • Although this looks neat it has numerous of problems. Way less space in the boot. Where do you put the spare tire? How do you change the fifth wheel? A collision is bound to happen sideways when somebody uses this to paralell park. Spinning with it in a circle? heck even this guy touched the bushes imagine something more solid being in the way? What if the car is t-boned by another one while it uses the fifth wheel? We're talking an insane spinning.

Btw, lowering the wheel takes some time...

  • Doesn't matter if it's got 12 wheels, my wife still couldn't back into the garage.

  • TAKE THAT, FORD!

  • Pretty wild.

  • This would do an awesome drift

  • @21ASSA12 ...and how would THAT work? When you lowered the 5th wheel it lifts the drive wheel(s) from the road.

  • parking assist my ass lmao

  • I want this. Now.

  • what happens, if you need to change tyre?

  • @melnais11 o.o good point lol you would need a spare spare?

  • @melnais11 That IS the spare tyre. It looked accessible from the trunk when it was raised.

  • The American mind in the 50s and 60s: full of ingenuity. Now we're more worried about how to pass level 2 on Angry Birds.

  • My mom needs one of these

  • Life would be waayyy too easy

  • Awesome

  • legiit

  • On the other hand...

No parallel parking - anyone can pass.

Anyone can pass - more assholes on the roads.

    So maybe it's all good...

  • @ProtonFilms no i think there will still be assholes on the roads... they'll just be driving illegally

  • @ProtonFilms Who the fuck can't parallel park?

  • @LVL60Beltran Stereotypical blondes?

  • @LVL60Beltran I've wondered the same thing - and why are they out messing up cars because they can't parallel park! You'd think insurance companies would really support this concept.

  • Well that would make it easier for women drivers.....

  • @kgingerryder And wouldn't be easier for for all these men drivers who can't park their big ole pickup trucks and take up two spaces.

  • @decodebbie lol agreed. I many times have to squeeze my tiny car in between two big pickup trucks that think its nice to take up their lot and mine. Whats worse is when you were no where near a car, come out from shopping and find cars practically sitting on top of yours on both sides. This would be very useful in large cities where people like to pack in as few spots as possible.

  • amerikanci su poznati po tome što ne znaju parkirati...barem velika većina njih.

  • how come everything we need in the present is already in the past and being made in the future and we'll get never?

  • LMFAO!

  • all ferrari's model shud have this!

  • This should definitely be added to every womans car... it'll make parallel parking so much easier and safer for them.

  • @tgioles WAY TO BE SEXIST BRO

  • @puretheillest you mean politically correct?

  • @tgioles but then we wont have all those funny parking fail videos to watch.......

  • @tgioles yeh they forgot to add the inbuilt kitchen as an extra

  • The voice is same as in the "How differential works"

  • That's sooo sick!!!! I wish my car had that. Imagine how easy it would be to do donuts!!!! lol

  • Seriously. Cool.

  • vault tec

  • Swing dat ass.

  • Awesome,, the future is, umm, was,, back then.,

imagine one of those with a stunt driver behind the wheel.

  • I want one! Is the inventor still around?

  • What fuck

  • Most people can barely drive with 4 damn tires, I'm sure adding another one will only add to the confusion (and the hilarity!)

  • That was a Cadillac too. Always first to have it was the Cadillacs.

  • @jb60135

The inventor was from Piedmont, CA. Piedmont is an independent city surrounded by the "rich" area of the Oakland, CA hills. Median family annual income was $150,000 in 2000, so many of the residents can afford luxury cars. I briefly dated a girl from Piedmont before realizing I didn't fit the proper social atmosphere there. :-D

  • Co za asy...

  • LOL this is great!

  • Курча... Запаска як 5 колесо? І це вигадали ше в 50х? Йооопти.

  • Take that Lexus. An American invented a parking assist device 60 years before you did.

  • @EdelSeriman

Then why didn't the big 3 in Detroit standard equip all their cars with it if it was such a good idea?

Similar ideas have been shown all over the world even before WW2. None very useful.

  • @McLarenMercedes Actually, this one idea was a pretty useful idea. They have recreated it electronically computer driven now, so apparently there was a call for it. However, in most cases, the consumer and manufacturers won't see its usefulness for many years. And so either ideas get completely scrapped or they come out late redesign to fit their era.

  • ugh sorry, lack of sleep killing my grammar. Last sentence: "And so either ideas get completely scrapped or they come out later redesigned to fit the era.

  • @EdelSeriman Are you suggesting they finally did something right? Pretty dumb thing to say.

  • @EdelSeriman

And it sucked in so many levels.

  • @EdelSeriman its too bad american cars are worth less than nothing. HAHAHA

  • nice idea, they should make this concept now :D

  • '

    yeaa wonderful design,,,

    yes free parking lot,,,

no need it pay parking meter at all

  • Good job

  • I think Gangar IS the best of the three main trade evolutions in blue/red.

  • Now being the fifth wheel on dinner outings will be cool :-)!

  • i always figured it would be six wheels to have the car go directly sideways to un-parallel park but i like this better

  • Could I have 2 steerin wheels too, pls ?

  • lol...you would loose alot of power from having that connected to the driveshaft permanently, unless you could find a way for it to attach and detach everytime you use it????

p.s. this was made for lazy people :)

  • @666TECHNO666 your a weirdo

  • @blahblahpornful says you with a fucked up name....how am i being a weirdo for stating my opinion on that..its fucking awesome, but there are downsides.......think next time before you post

  • @666TECHNO666 stop being weird

  • @666TECHNO666 A clutch would do it.

  • 61 years went by.

It really took us this long to realize this is a good idea??

  • what happened to it then?....

  • what. the. fuck. i thought of this before lol

  • females need this. even more, female asian drivers.

  • Dude, for real? Why aren't we using this today?

  • I'm a Bear and I do bear things!

  • Thay need this for the women thes days

  • @LittlePussLiquor OMG Shut the F* up, I am sick of seeing that!

  • @owenfranciscook Co za asy ^

  • @LittlePussLiquor LAME -.-

  • imagine doing doughnuts on that!!! XD

  • @kevin7993 co za asy!

  • WTF!! this is thousands time better than fucking auto park system.. humm business leaders will always ignore simple systems and making more complex just to loot money from customers..

  • Gotta agree. Why the heck don't we have this on cars now?

  • what about the friction on the front tires?

  • Holy Josh!

The solution to the ultimate evil!!

  • How did this not catch on?

  • You have to have really good depth perception to work this sucker

  • I remember this. I was wondering when this video would make it to youtube.

  • That was great

  • that seems like a great way to hit people you almost missed

  • he said that evan the worst driver wouldn't dent a fender ah you haven't seen how my mother-in-law drives

  • what if we use the spare tire? :D

  • @xXL0StShAd0wXx that's the idea

"putting the spare tire to work"

  • I don't know why this never caught on.

  • Does it help in the snow...?

  • Im getting this just to do never ending donuts.

  • They came up with this idea 60 years ago...

WHY IN THE HELL DO WE NEED PARKING ASSIST AND BACK UP SENSORS?

  • We could seriously use this. Why didn't this catch on?! :/

  • 7 people dont know what spare Wheel is

  • ya know what would be better?? a car that can pasrk its self!! :/ hhmmm someday!

  • Just imagine the donuts you could do with that!!

  • Hey my rose bushes !

  • It is a great idea but just think if there was a malfunction and the tire drops down while you are doin 65 and whips the car around in the middle of the highway causing a 20 car pile up while your doing somersaults in your 1956 buick lmao, or even turning a corner and it drops down causing you to turn into on coming traffic . Hmm wonder why it didnt catch on

  • @arby66 And "malfunctions" still happen with todays cars and they still catch on. And it wouldn't cause a 20 car it would just slow your car down and maybe cause you to spin out like you were on ice i think.

  • this is actually a great idea!

  • top gear's nasa rover did it better last night.

  • I like how in old commercials, they actually show how it works in real life. Not like all the CGI bullshit of today.

  • Is this for real?

  • This is fucking sweet !!!

  • genius!!!!!!!

  • Just like everyone else, im wondering WHY THE FUCK DIDNT THIS CATCH ON!?!

  • @OnlyLosersReadThis Same reason that engine that runs on oil didn't. BIG OIL bought up all the copies and destroyed them. Do you know how much gas would be saved if something like that was allowed to go to market?

  • @devtrash how would this save gas? this just makes parking easier.

  • @OnlyLosersReadThis Because this is an entirely impractical stupid idea

  • @CassAnayadotcom Put a reason behind your statement.

  • @mrtoomy All parking spots are not just wide enough to fit the breadth of a car, this is an irrelevant innovation which only complicates things. Also, from an engineering perspective: 1. a huge amount of extra space is needed (your choice, no trunk or a 5th wheel you will use once a month) 2. hydrolics enough to lift the whole car which is just another set of mechanics to break 3. triple wheel coverage for a single drive shaft means a weakened and more breakable drive shaft.

  • @CassAnayadotcom while you have a lot of valid points, I think the point was for when there are cars not lined up perfectly in their own spots. Too many times in the city, you see the cars parked bumper to bumper because some asshole decides to park inbetween two parking spaces. This makes it incredibly difficult to get out unless you have a snow plow... and then aparently you can just plow your way through(I saw that on Youtube once, lol)

  • @OnlyLosersReadThis because you'll look ridiculous in todays' world.

  • Why didn't this catch on?

  • I can just imagine the sweet donuts you could do with that fifth wheel.

  • WOMAN ARE SHIT!!!

  • BACK THE FUCK UP.

Why don't today's cars have this? How is it possible that this isn't included in every single car made since the 50's? We'd never have to parallel park again!

  • lol i can imagine rap videos with 5 spinners.

  • how u would do a dounut in a altima is use dis

  • Well...that's easier than using the handbrake, that's for sure...

  • @JimPrower not as fun though ; ]

  • maybe even women could park if this was on current cars.

  • and the only electronics in that thing was the radio, no bullshit emissions'

  • This is the ultimate drifting aid.

  • Genius

  • y the fuck is this not used now

  • drifting at its finest! more angle!!! what happens when you get a flat?

  • The front of those cars would give a kid nightmares. Scary teeth.....lol.

  • YOU RAN OVER MY BUSHES. MOTHER FUCKER.

  • why did this not catch on?

  • If cars were like this, they could advertise 5 WHEEL DRIVE!

  • Genius!!!

  • somehow women or a old fossil granny would fuck it up and shred a toddler underneath the axel and fuck it up for the rest of us rendering it unsafe...
