Africans need to be more responsible.(I am one so don't read this like am just pointing fingers) we spend our time and resources on petty politics and allow leaders to steal every penny available. Every country on earth gets floods, build dams and large waterways and stop using rivers as a landfill of sorts. Educate the people for crying out loud. I shuddet to imagine what would happen if you also got hit with harsh winters, tornados, hurricanes and earthquakes like the west does. Pliz wakeupnow
it is about planning, our governments don't plan well and prepare for impending disaster even when the warnings have been sounded on for years. In Kenya the el nino warning were sounded for months yet the government did nothing. now many are dying due to floods.

U recall in Machokos they'd asked women to help build dams across rivers? using their hands? not even one wheelbarrow on site? How can they stop El Nini floods?..or create a water resevoir? Crazy!
Pointing fingers and blaming Climate Change will not solve African's miseries. There is a 99.9% chance that links all these disasters - they're Man-Made! Nature only comes later n finishes the lousy job Man started.
