Besides, you are taking this serialization literally. I bet you have never even read the real Valmiki Ramayan, or know that it's probably the closest puran (or itihaas) to the Rig Ved.

Dasrath's Ashwamedha yagya is mentioned and described in detail. Ravan, for your information, was a documented (characterized, if you don't believe in it) son of a Brahmin.

The Vedic elite were classed as Brahmins. It's funny you don't even know this common fact. Ravan was an 'aryan'.
