I think that's part of what has lead to such an inequity in society. corporations claim that the free market is the only way to do business, then they have their hand out wanting government money thanks to the tax payers. Then they squeeze us for all it's worth and claim they aren't making enough profit while their workers are barely making ends meet.

The Japanese still have way more class than we do. Back before the depression, people dressed really nice when out on the street. Now it's t shirts and jeans. I wonder why it changed like that?

@SkeksisRule oh wow,,,I have always wondered the same thing...we the casual mode of dress was adopted is so strange!! I love looking at footage or old pictures because people cared about their appearance,....I have seen women wearing nightgowns or slippers in the street! Is no one embarrased to look less than presentable?? or half naked for that matter! I wish times were different.

@truediabolique69 Yeah, it's interesting to see pictures from the 1930's or even the 1950's, because when people went out in public they dressed very classy no matter where they were going. No matter how poor they were they looked like they had dignity. All of the men wore ties and hats. Maybe people just stopped caring or couldn't afford to dress as nice, or maybe stores realized they can make more money on casual clothes.

@SkeksisRule Stores only sell what they know will move quickly off their shelves...My grandmother says the world went downhill when the 60's arrived with the drug use and people beginning not to respect their elders. I agree with her..things just became more relaxed and non-chalant. What young man has a suit anymore? HOw many times havent I seen young girls sitting with their legs open??? Their parents dont remind them to act like ladies. Depressing!

The cat is quite trusting for a homeless cat. Most tame cats would curl up in a corner where they wouldn't be disturbed. Even if he fell asleep when it wasn't busy, you would think all the noise and traffic would wake him up and make him want to move. It makes me happy because it just goes to show no one is being a dick and hurting the cat. Too many people in this world do stupid things like that.

In another japanese train station I forgot in which city, there was a cat who started living there constantly too, so they adopted her and made her the mascott of the station. XD Really friendly to everybody and so cute!

At the train station to my home town, there was a big friendly ginger stray who started living at the station. He lived there years. Everyone fed him. He used to greet passengers off the trains. They even installed cat flaps in to a lot of the doors so he could be inside when it was cold.

He died a few years ago. They put a plaque up to remember Tom the station cat. Everyone misses him.

Well, all do there work and dont wonna lose time. And it would be "strage" if some one acts different than other peoples and individuality is NOT ALLOWED in japanese society. Maybe they think "its just a cat, no danger" and go on.

But its a very good indeed the cat never gets chased. It feels VERY save. I cant even toutch our neigbors cat and we life in a quiet neigborhood :/

Recently she had kittens around the station.

A TV reporter, who watched the YouTube video, stalked the sleeping-on-a-ticket-gate cat all day, and found out this fact.

As it is late spring, she doesnt seem to climb it again until winter comes.

But she appears in the station everyday as she has done since she was kitty, and see off and welcome us everyday.
