Hi! I have been installing Ubuntu 10.04 with your video. But I didn't have any boot-menu when I restarted my computer. I can't get to my Windows 7. Do you know what I have done? And how I can get my Windows back.

3:06 - and advanced button? there were boot settings, what changes do they make, something with boot menu? Cuz now i have boot menu like this 4:37 And when i select Windows XP at the bottom it gives me ANOTHER menu: 1-Windows XP. 2-Ubuntu.
I'm glad i did this on virtual machine. strongly recommend to everyone. btw I used VMware® Workstation 7.0. It supports easy install for popular OS and you don't have to put any settings. (i just really don't see the reason to put linux on real OS.)
i believe this was 8.04? not quite sure, but juding by that i posted it (april 08) it would make sense...im pretty sure the setup is still pretty similar in 9.04..but if necessary i can make a new vid
i might consider installing linux but the thing is...im running windows vista home premium and i have so use for linux...except for the cool effects but otehr than that i dont know what i would use linux for
i dont know- i am guessing you have another computer since you managed to write this message - so i would try searching google for error 17 ubuntu - hopefully that will help you - i have dual booted many machines and done this process like 15 times and never seen this before - sorry for the issues
umm, i hate to say this but i suggeust you just google it, "change order of grub boot menu" or something like that, i was too lazy to try to reorder it...anyways, good luck, sorry for the confusion on the boot menu

1.right click on my computer
2. go to the advanced tab
3. press the startup and recovery settings
4. Under systems settings, click the edit button and use notepad to edit the order to your liking.
