  • Brian May GENIUS, Freddie Mercury LEGEND

  • so good to see you back, Dave! Welcome and thank you for everything.

  • at 4.35 what does Freddie say? anyone know? this should have gone on the first album I love it! its very Raw

  • @zowie just got it by listening a few times he says 'Steal yourself, this is valid'

  • 4.11 to 4.17 Great Scream by Roger! love this version

  • @zowie BTW, hadn't noticed it, but there you've got Roger hitting the famous Bb two years before Bo Rhap. Long live Rog!

  • @sebenoky what about the 'Lap of the Gods' and 'My Fairy King' Screams by roger? what key are they in sebenoky? Brian is on Fire as well in this version!! Great Guitar work! Go Bri !!!!

  • @zowie LOTG and MFK both peak on a", which is a semitone lower than the Bo Rhap / Son and Daughter (Session 2) note. All in all, Roger's highest recorded note was not on Queen, but on Fox's Survival (you can find it on Dave's channel too) - it's an e"', a tritone HIGHER than the Bo Rhap 'for me', and there's no varispeed trick involved! Rog's indeed so effing fantastic.

  • @sebenoky are you sure he didnt have a shot of helium for the very last scream on the Fox track?? no pitch control??? WOW I never knew!!!... that all these years simply stunning!

  • @zowie AFAIK, he simply went to town during that session... he admitted singing some of his highest notes ever on that track. But I'm sure that, in his prime, he may have been able to get even higher. We'll probably never know for sure though.

  • @sebenoky ...oh I was there in his prime and I have never heard him sing that high before!

  • Featuring the "Brighton Rock" solo!

  • Never heard this one :D

    I like It :)

  • "Steal yourself, this is valid." Er, alright Roger. (Is this supposed to be a copyright warning of some sort?)

  • the solo is from brighton rock... before it was even made! awesome this should've been the original and it sould've been a single if they had this version the queen album

  • I think the solo sounds closer to that which Brian did on Blag with Smile, although I guess it was that solo which eventually evolved into Brighton Rock

  • It sound a mother mary

  • This sounds even more like heavy metal:)!

  • nice!

  • incredibile!!!!!!

  • Congrats to you Dave! I've seen alot of your Queen Videos, and love'em all great job!

Best has got to be - Spread Your Wings - studio/long version.Keep up the great job and much thanks! ~Donna~ aka ~ Little Queenie ~

  • At the Beeb-version?

  • yes.

  • Comment removed

  • no, it's different from the BBC released CD released in 1995.

if that's what you asked 1 year ago :p

  • no. it's different from "At The Beeb" version. "At The Beeb" contains the third BBC version of this song. Mercury censored lyrics "to buckle down and shovel shhhhh...." . the third version Mercury censored himself "to buckle down and a-shovel it". the intro is also quite different.
