i like the video but your dredge is small :) iv been working now for about eleven years in dredges and now iv got 4 dredges working on one of my rivers in ghana 15 kilometers long and two shaking tables i bring evry two hours 4 buckets full of durt a the edge on the shaking tables for all my dredges so just for you i make about
215 00$ month my dredges caust me about 75 000 $ dollars and eleven years back i started with a small dredge i found in a old garage i boult it 600 $ im happy to see tha
gold is were you find it. that a old but true saying.gold can be anywere. desert, mountains, hill country.ect.not all rivers carry gold.or creeks. it all depends on the deposits in the area and were the gold gets dumped into the river, sometimes veins eroad from the hard rock bottom under the river silt and release gold that way.others may have gold from hydralice mineing..ect.gold can travel 10- 20 or more miles till you find it. hence the frase- gold is were you find it!
the year after i filmed this i upgraded to a four inch dredge ..let me tell you its work, the harder the river bottom the worse it is. dredgeing is the hardest form of prospecting in my eyes!
Hey Scorp! That comment wasnt towards u, just normal average Joes thinks they can go to any stream and start digging, they dont even know it could be claimed.
micha3187, the dredge i have is a proline 2inch.with out air. i bought it pryer to dredging season, as to get use to dredging and all the little things you need to know before going on to a larger dredge. my stongest advice after you get it is watch out for rocks/bolders , and anything that can pin you down under water i did and by luck i got out with out help, allways have a buddie. it can save you! as for cost $1300.00 go to prolines web sight via web search...good luck!
you bet it does!... i might say . your in a prime area to go prospecting .. try a few simple items first.. buy a pan,a simple sluice box,a couple of 5 gallon buckets, and a good shovel.watch more videos to see demos on how to use them which there are on u tube and then try going out and finding some, if you like it dont give up its hard work but when you have that gold in a bottle its all worth it!
well hondadrift, i was down there for about 8 hour sampling many spots. i went home to clean it up, and the final pay off was six tiny pickers and a little dust, it wasnt a good day at all but its fun. and would do it again... as to were its in calif, were the creek is, thanks for the comment!

I dont know much about finding gold, but can you find gold in any river? or does the area need to be in mountings?

It's all a joke....these guys haven't the
sligthest idea how to dredge. And don't
get the idea that all you have to do buy a
dredge and find a spot on the Klamath River and do it the way the guys in the video did it. You have to punch a hole down to the bed rock.

knowing absolutely nothing about prospecting this question may sound a little off, but does the equipment ever pay for itself?
