You're right. we shouldn't pay for our drugs. It isn't like drugs cost money to make, they come from a magic land where elves make asprin out of recycled cars.
As a canadian with UHC, I would never live in a place that does not have universal health care. I feel that I am proud that my taxes help pay the care of others.
Why would you feel proud of that? it's not as if you have a choice to pay or not to pay it. It's like if someone mugs you on the street and then you're proud they used your money to turn their life around.
Your for UHC, Im not.If you think that the government should own your body and have a monopoly on what is done to take care of it, that is your business.I am happy to pay for my own health care.I have no right to force you to help me pay for it.Why should I have to help pay for yours if I am willing to pay for my own? What gives you that right? Can you explain to me why I owe you UHC when I dont feel that you owe me anything?Shouldnt I have the right to opt out of your UHC?
Love your thoughts, and I completely agree with your ideas about health care. The truth is we are already paying twice as much on health care and still leaving so many people without insurance, plus even if we have insurance we are getting lower quality care than other countries. Universal health care - and not mandatory insurance - is the best solution.
thanks for watching one of my most boring videos ever lol and im glad you agree with me as well, because i find that there are a lot of people who think its a bad idea
"Our hospitals have often lurched along from feast to famine funding," he said. "You can't be guaranteed the same money next year due to government cutbacks." Quoted from a Canadian doctor, but i do suppose you are ok with waiting lists for medical care, nowhere have i seen any policy on severity, so you may be put second behind a broken thumb even if you have brain cancer, sounds like a good plan, and i would love to see how you would balence taxes, while still not raising them for UHC. UHC=BAD
being putting on a waiting list is much better than having to worry about affording something before your put on a waiting list. like i said a would gladly pay taxes for this simple luxery, uhc is way better than mandatory health care... what about the people who cant afford that should their heath not be a concern?
well id love to see you still say waiting lists are ok when you are the one having to wait on it, and why should i have to pay for a person who didnt get a degree and or cannot not spend money to get health coverage? cold hearted maybe, but then again this isnt a forgiving world either (start charity foundations im not opposed) further more i do not want the government controlling that much more of my life, as you can see in recent "Katrina" look how many people depended on the government NTY.
Tell that to the countless Canadians who march across the border to American hospitals for urgent/ critical procedures they required that their "ohh so efficient and loving" gov. prevented them from having.
An average waiting time span can stretch as far as 8 months, and that is a standard issue case, not even the worse kind.
Not to mention that the cost o living will sky rocket. It's not just minor state and federal taxes as most of you UHC proponents think.
good point man i totally agree i live in Canada and we have free health care and it is so nice to have I lost my hand in a lawnmower accident and i had the surgery and it cost me nothing and it was great service
