I can't imagine ALL that's inside our couch (I have a feeling EVERYTHING that ever disappeared is up in there)! I LOVED how he like takes 5 minutes "making sure the mouse is hidden away snuggly!" If you hadn't been there who knows when you'd have found it!
@GulfVetSAF Ohhhh I miss Johnny! I ended up having to get a spare corded mouse just because he got way too good at hiding them. And when he died I kept one of the last mice he'd attacked - with a jaggedy scroll wheel because that's where he carried it LOL He also completely destroyed one of those tiny cordeed ones on my laptop. Had it pulled to the full extent of the retractable cord, I yelled at him, he let go and SLAM!!! it hit the underside of my laptop table and shattered LOL
That is definitely a ballsy ferret. I LOVE his name. My oldest fert is about 3 and has graduated from ruining my scroll wheels to taking empty half-gallon containers from the recycling bin. He's got about a dozen stashed in various places in the house. Occasionally I'll round them up and let him stash them again, just for giggles.
This is hilarious! At least two or three times a day my lil fuzzbutt will go around and push everything off the bed, off the couch, off of any surface she can reach. And then, naturally, attempts to hide everything she pushed onto the floor, and then war dances around me when I pick them back up again :)

My cat tries to steal my mouse while I'm using it. I hear "scritch", and look over, and he's got his paws on the mouse pad, then he looks at me, and pretends to stretch.
@sagerider2 Johnny passed away a few years ago but I still haven't replaced his last victim - the wireless mouse on my notebook. So I have to work the scroll wheel a bit sometimes cuz the rubber gets stuck since it's half chewed off. Just never had the heart to replace it.

You know what's sad? I hadn't turn my PC on in a couple of weeks since I have my notebook on the wireless network in the house. I went to turn it on the other day and the mouse was right there on the tray. I'm so used to either moving it up to a shelf out of his reach or spending a longgggg time finding it. I actually miss that!
Sadly I lost Johnny Rotten this past October. He was only 4 1/2. He'd checked out fine with the vet the month but ends up he had lymphoma - which we wouldn't have seen without an ultrasound.
I just caught myself last night about to type "walked around the grocery store 57 times" when I was emailing a friend about going to the store with the flu and trying to find coughdrops at an unfamiliar store in the middle of a coughing fit LOL

I got up for just a minute and the little bastard got hold of it. He pulled a strip of the rubber right off the scroll wheel. But I called Dell and told them "It fell apart" and they're shipping me a new one lol :-)

The obsession continues. After killing the two mini mice for my notebook I bought the pretty green matching wireless mouse for it. And I left it unattended for a moment yesterday. He knocked it to the floor but I snacked it up and gave him a big "NOOOOO!" I have to remember to just take this mouse with me if I leave it out when Johnny Rotten the mouse thief is out!!!!

That mouse ended up having to be replaced because the scroll wheel got too raggedy to move lol He took a small chunk out of the new one but I've been better at moving it out of reach once I'm done. But he did manage to murder two mini mouse for my new notebook. You know how they have that retractable cord on them? I came into the room to see him pulling it will all his might - yelled at him and it flew back at the table the notebook was on and exploded lol
Once he put it in the pocket of the saddlebags my dog wears when we go hiking. I think it was several days before I finally found it - I had to dig out and hook up the corded mouse in the meantime lol

No, Crime Monster earned her name, if it was something she was not suppose to have she would find a way to get it. Zero candy bars had to be kept under lock and key! She could open drawers to get to them!

This is great...I have 3 ferrets...and they have a barrel of stuffed animals. I find them in my drawers, under beds, couch, closet. There is no stuffed animal in our house that is safe. They are the best pets. Whats wrong with New York and California????

OMG, that is hilarious!! My three haven't gotten TOO bad at theiving yet. So far it's just been a pack of cigarettes stashed under the couch. Thank goodness they weren't open! Crazily enough the ferrets didn't try to destroy them, just hid them and left, lol.
Well that's pretty typical ferret behaviour. Ferrets love to steal things they have no use for. I think the weirdest I've seen mine steal was half a hot dog bun with relish on it. Somehow they managed to get it all the way up the stairs and into my closet with the relish STILL on it!!!
haha! my ferret is the same. yesterday she stole my shoe and tried to fit it in her cage, she couldnt get it in the door so she left it right in front and slept in it. lol!
Molly our trouble maker....took my daughters hair straightener yesterday and hid it under the bed. The thing is bigger then her!! This winter...my car keys were found after 3 days behind the bottom drawer in our stove. They would have been lost forever, except we caught Clementine trying to put a dish towel there.
My ferret that past away, Sam, stole a hot pocket out of my friend lunch box. Went straight for the couch...when he caught him and lifted the couch...there was his wallet with $200 in it that Sam took out of his jacket. If he hadn't been so greedy and gone back for the hot pocket. lol
once i was getting papers out of my drawer and (i have two ferrets) what did I find? lots of missing toys! i figured out my ferrets had a secret stash!

I have a ferret named Clementine who likes to steal our VCR tapes and DVD's. I now know where to find my tapes and DVD's. We found her spot. Her favorite's are "Saw" and "Major League" and "Bram Stokers Dracula"
Ferrets aren't nibblers like rabbits, rats, etc (being that they're not rodents and don't have teeth that need wearing down). I also have since wrapped the cables with those tubes you can get that keep everything nice and tidy. Moreso so no one gets tangled up in them.

This winter...my car keys were found after 3 days behind the bottom drawer in our stove. They would have been lost forever, except we caught Clementine trying to put a dish towel there.

My ferret that past away, Sam, stole a hot pocket out of my friend lunch box. Went straight for the couch...when he caught him and lifted the couch...there was his wallet with $200 in it that Sam took out of his jacket. If he hadn't been so greedy and gone back for the hot pocket. lol

FYI - he's been trying to get the new mouse but I've gotten MUCH better at putting it out of reach. But when I do forget? Oh yeah - it's HISTORY!!!

hahaha this is great. Every ferret has one or two of your possesions that it dubs "his" or "hers" Apparantly the mouse has fallen victim. My alpha always tries to steal my sister's (living) Yorkshire terrior lol.

I have a ferret named Clementine who likes to steal our VCR tapes and DVD's. I now know where to find my tapes and DVD's. We found her spot. Her favorite's are "Saw" and "Major League" and "Bram Stokers Dracula"

Ferrets aren't nibblers like rabbits, rats, etc (being that they're not rodents and don't have teeth that need wearing down). I also have since wrapped the cables with those tubes you can get that keep everything nice and tidy. Moreso so no one gets tangled up in them.
