  • @lulublue97 umm.. she could look like anyone with the dark sunglasses on. anyone with dark hair that is

  • beautiful song..greatings from portugal

  • This song is sung sooo much better in 500 Days Of Summer, even though he's drunk.

  • 500 Days of Summer brought me here. That's the only thing I can concievably say about this song. I could say that it's one of the best songs by one of the greatest bands of all time, but nope, I heard it in a movie.

  • @WinstonSmith144 Pretty much. That's because it's most certainly not one of the best songs by one of the greatest bands of all time lol the song pretty much sucks. It's only use is in 500 days of summer as a karaoke song.

  • @22metzfan K, so if that's what you think, why are you commenting on a "The Pixies - Here Comes Your Man" video? How bout spending your free time commenting on a song you like? Just a helpful thought

  • wow this song is amazing

  • Is there one fucking comment on here that isn't about 500 days of summer? Christ I get it already.

  • I love how Joseph-Gordon-Levitt sings it way better than the original, while drunk.

  • Just saw "500 Days of Summer" and it made me look up this song, forgot how much I loved it!

  • "500 Days of Summer" reminded me of this song which I first heard in "Deuce Bigalow: European Gigolo"

  • 1.54 percussion fail

  • bout the A-BOM

  • Questa canzone è bellissima :D

  • i love how tom (500 days of summer) sings this song..

  • LOLZ 500 days of summer..Bring me here :P

  • Actually, 500 days of summer brought me here.

  • Frank: "It's about winos and hobos traveling on the trains, who die in the California Earthquake. Before earthquakes, everything gets very calm—animals stop talking and birds stop chirping and theres no wind. It's very ominous.

I've been through a few earthquakes, actually, 'cause I grew up in California. I was only in one big one, in 1971. I was very young and I slept through it. I've been awake through lots of small ones at school and at home. It's very exciting actually—a very comical thing."

  • @SeanHMc "I probably liked the word 'boxcar' because I heard it on the R.E.M. song, from their first record." (Carnival of sorts).

These were his words in an interview with NME.

You can decide. I don't think "Here comes your man" fits in with the earthquake. But then, why would he lie about his own song? Unless he was taking the p***... Which he was known to do.

  • Just learned to play it on my guitar! :D

  • I. love. the. drums.

    this song is AWESOME <3

  • Thanks for good sound quality, I hate to be pain in the a** but the bands name is Pixies not The Pixies.

  • love <3

  • This song is like Seaweed, its weed from the sea :O

  • Deuce Bigalow: European Gigolo brought me here! i love the song as well as the movie...love deucy.

  • Timeless collection of musical notes!

    Magnificent

  • THIS SONG MAKES ME VERY HAPPY!!

  • Watching (500) Days of Summer right now! Thought I'd check out the song. Haven't heard it in years!!!

  • hola mafe

  • lol. 4 some reason there are some things about The Pixies that remind me of Sublime. don't ask me why. i just thought of that.

  • Your mother brought me here. And yes I love this song.

  • wife and I were watching 500 days of summer together and I started singing along when they had the karaoke scene, she was like you know this song?

  • the movie 500 days of summer opened me up to this awesome band! gotta love good movies that open you up to different types of music.

  • hehe tom from (500) days of summer sounds kinda better even though he's drunk in the scene lol :)

  • dumb and dumber got me here : D

  • Nothing 'brought me here', just my dad and him introducing me to amazing music:)

  • ojala entiendas esto eres una mierda

  • I googled this after seeing it in 500 days of summer too to find out what the song was. It's apparently about an atomic bomb dropped on Japan called the Bocksar, it's nickname was the fat man. Something like that.

  • HERE COMES YEMEN

  • @almoztahbeast23 you're right dude, it's about YEMEN!

  • hahah, 69 Likes and 1 Dislike, fuck you if you were the 1 dislike.

  • It's about the A-bomb the americans dropped over Nagasaki in 1945. The bomb was nicknamed Fat Man, and the plane was called Bockscar.

    Doesn't everything make sense now?

  • @UlrikSo its actually about an earthquake, black francis said so himself

  • Thank you, 500 Days of Summer(:

  • "oh, no im not nearly drunk enou-"

    "BARTENDER!"

  • "I'm not nearly drunk enough for that"

  • like this if 500 days of summer braught u here =)

  • what's this song about?

  • @tye703

    love duh

  • @simpsonNirvana94

    i don't think so

  • @tye703 its about hobos dyin on earthqwuakes in cali

  • @simpsonNirvana94 dude, the song is not about love, its about hobos dying on californian earthquakes haha look it up

  • Earthquake!

  • @simpsonNirvana94 In the words of Black Francis, it's about "winos and hobos travelling on the trains, who die in the California Earthquake".

  • @simpsonNirvana94 I thought it was about the atomic bomb that fell in hiroshima (the nickname of that bomb was "the fat man")

  • @simpsonNirvana94 Yeah, actually its about prostitution. hence "never wait so long, here comes your man", they never have to wait long before a man picks them up in a "box car"

  • @simpsonNirvana94 It's about hobos surviving through earthquakes.

  • @simpsonNirvana94 HAHAHAHHAHAHAHAHAHA

  • @simpsonNirvana94 Duh??? This song is NOT about love. Francis claims it's about boxcar riding hobos being killed during an earthquake but there are many references to WW2 bombings on Japan. Love was the last thing on his mind when he wrote this tune. Amazing how frequently people misinterpret lyrics based on the chorus. Listen closely next time

  • @simpsonNirvana94

    lol its not

  • @simpsonNirvana94 this is about a homeless man dying in an earthquake

  • @simpsonNirvana94 wrong. I heard somewhere it's about the dropping of the atomic bomb on Japan.

  • @simpsonNirvana94 It's about an atomic bomb. Pixies' songs are rarely about love.

  • Comment removed

  • @simpsonNirvana94 Actually its about Hobos who die after hopping a train during an earthquake in california.

  • @simpsonNirvana94 its not about love at all look at the lyrics all over again (big shake on the box car moving big shake to the land that's falling down)

  • @tye703 It's about an earthquake!

  • @tye703

The song is about an earthquake!

  • @tye703 waiting for your dealer.

  • @tye703 its about hobos and riding trains after an earthquake - oddly people hear it as a love song

  • @tye703 Your mum.

  • @tye703 actually i heard its about two hobo that are good buddies

  • @tye703 It's about hobos who die in an earthquake in California from the aftershock of an atomic bomb that was dropped on Japan by the plane "Bockscar" some fourty years earlier, duh.

  • @lkmrn325 lol why r you guys so sarcastic? I mean I like the song, & I know it's about love too but if you really dig deep into the lyrics it's not like it's all: "I love you" & "I miss you", I mean it's not easy to imagine that it's about love when you first look at the song. I actually was about to ask if anyone can explain to me the meaning of the lyrics but looks like you guys r too cool & smart to answer that question.

  • @theblackmoonofghost I thought I just did answer it... Pixies lyrics aren't always so simple to explain.

  • @theblackmoonofghost "Your 'man'", "Box car", "Big wind", etc., all references to the atomic bomb. Black Francis has never actually come out and said it, though.

  • @tye703 no its about tramps dying in earthquakes, 'wait so long' refers to silence that descends as animals flee an area which is due to be subject to an earthquake

  • @tye703 I actually heard it was about the A Bomb.

  • thanks!

  • they look like the myth busters

  • 500 days of summer brought me here
