  • I JUST BEATED THIS GAME (Game Boy Version) All thanks to this video walkthrough! Would have never made it otherwhise!

  • @soottva Congrats man! The GB version is much tougher than the NES!

  • LOL ... Nice bit of revisionist history there at the end, isn't it?

  • Thanks for all the videos !!

  • Now I finally know how this game ends. I only ever made it to Cloud City, and then lost my final life at those damn lasers that R2D2is supposed to deactivate. I didn't get it, because all he does is drive into them and they don't look disabled at all. I had no idea you were supposed to run through while he is being electrocuted. What a disappointing end battle. The combat of this game was severely broken.... as was the jumping. I'm amazed someone made it through the whole thing.

  • TIME WILL COME FOR... THE RETURN OF THE JEDI.

To bad this the NES Return of the Jedi never got made, I can understand the NES was on its last legs, and they were starting work on the super star wars trilogy. But one still has to wonder how an 8-bit return of the jedi would have looked, or played. if there was even 1 mock up picture that would atleast satisfy my curiosity. Funny how I didnt even know there were NES star wars games for the longest time.

  • wow freakin awsome ive always loved and thought about this game till now. to me it was truley one of those nes games that stood out of the crowd. its great to see the whole game played thru. thanks!!! was there ever a return of the jedeye nes game???

  • ''Why the hell Luke should i face you when i can send you on trivial platforming tasks and have my minions who will annoy you far more than i ever could?'' that was a great upload you done there although i dont have this on the nes i got given it for the gameboy and had to see it being completed even though i could never finish it and thanks a lot for taking the time to do so i know i couldn't be bothered to do what you done and the tips were good aswell through the video =)

  • The Time will come for Return of the Jedi... just not on this system.

Such a great game for its time. Force jumping with great control to Star Wars music, deflecting laser bolts, flying Speeders, all great... Difficult, but great.

  • I could NEVER get passed what i called "boba fett" i guess that's what you called slave 1

it always bugged me that i lost that cartrige

  • It's too bad that Return of the Jedi was not released onto NES. Just on the Super NES.

  • There's a nightmarish quality to the difficulty of this game.

  • Great,The Entire story Is screwed up,Han Dies!=(

  • Nice game.

I could not pass it on NES and have passed in many years on PC.)

  • I had to give 5 stars to all these videos since you're doing some pioneer-stuff with this game in youtube. I watched 'em all and now I'm happy.

  • Thanks, man!

  • sweet 8-bit voice overs

  • So the Graphic Eye is supposed to be a version of the Jedi Mind Trick then? Pretty lame but at least it was an attempt.

  • "This time, you have defeated me, but next time, you will not be as lucky. It is our destiny to meet again!................By the way, I'm your deadbeat father"

  • It would suck if you defeated Vader, but lost because the debri killed you before Vader fell.

  • God this game was great. I only rented the NES version but beat it on Game Boy. Parts of it were genius but other parts like the AT-ST fights or Bespin when you have to walk through with R2D2 were incredibly hard.

  • felt like I was watching the movie.

  • Thanks. I just dusted off the NES for the intent of finishing this game. I could get to Vader, but could never bring him down. Now I know how. I agree with you though, this was a great game. The only gripe I had was the way the character jumps, and halfway through seems to fall straight down. Difficult, especially if you've just been playing the NES Star Wars.

  • interesting ive beaten this game numerous times but this is the first time ive seen the win by goin toe to toe. i found a glitch in the game where if u were using the blaster, fired a shot and immediately pushed select to bring out ure lightsaber, the following blast would hurt vader in the final fight. normally he blocks every single shot u throw at him. he never blocks this glitch blast. never could beat him toe to toe. then again never tried going rite at him the way this guy did.

  • No kidding? I'll have to try that.

  • THANK YOU THANK YOU THANK YOU!!! I never ever could figure out what the hell the graphic eye did! Oh god you have no idea how much that bothered me!

  • Sweeeeeeeeeeeet man!!! good work thaks for the memorys. Now i known how it end jajaa

  • It was a HARD game... pniner is cheating he using turbo's on his wepons witch I did too... I only beat it once without turbo and that was the last time I played it. I liked the first NES Star Wars better myself.

  • Pniner, are you going to bother to post any more walkthroughs or was this just a one shot deal because of all the bogus reviews of this particular game?

  • Only meant to do this one for exactly that reason; got tired of seeing the "bad game" reviews on youtube where people never play past level 1. Filmnstuff has a pretty scathing review on here but it's kinda funny and he at least bothers to play the whole game. The only other game I've thought of doing is Mega Man Legends, another awesome one that gets the same unfair treatment. Don't really expect any more (sorry if you subscribed), but if I get a cool idea somewhere maybe.

  • just watched the whole walkthrough. this game took me a year or two to beat back in the day. I think I beat it after I beat Super Star Wars and just before Super Empire Strikes Back was released. Very challenging. Only thing I really didn't like about it was the music, it grated my ears and sounded way too dated. The voices were pretty cool to hear though in an NES game.

  • I never did see the ending to this game. I would have been pissed, as for some reason, there seems that there should be more to it. It also seems that this game, compared to the first one, appeared to be rushed to sale, a bit. However, I do like how it doesn't follow the movie completely. Nice walkthru!!!

  • i loved this nice job thanks for the post are you a fan of lesuire suit larry or kings quest

  • I still can't view this one. I watched every one before it and I want to see the end!!! I've tried 3 different days now.

  • Thanks for explaining the graphic eye! I completely agree, it's the most useless of the Force powers. You could tell it was kinda thrown in just to complete the set. -_-

  • How do I make this video play?

  • its impossible my fucking youtube does that to

  • Sorry, guys. This one comes and goes. No idea why...try later I guess. It really is there.

  • I did not know that "force fast lightsaber" was needed to defeat Darth Vader on that last stage. Every time I ever tried beating him on that last stage, I always get shoved off the platform and get killed on the pink scissor spikes.

  • I suppose you could do it with the standard lightsaber...honestly, I never tried. Normally my end battles with him require enough Force power for enhanced lightsaber, some levitation and force-to-health.

  • says that video is no longer available!! noooooooo!!!!!!!!! plz, repost!!!

  • It won't play

  • Why wasn't there a Return of the Jedi video game for the original NES?

  • Super Nintendo started the got Super Star Wars series and the NES market dried up.

  • Not in Japan. In Japan, people bought Famicoms until 2003 (Nintendo discontinued it because the parts were hard to find). I don't understand why there wasn't a Japan-only game based off of Return of the Jedi (which sucks vs. Empire and the original Star Wars movie)

  • they ended the series here because they knew they were moving on to the SNES trilogy. This is why Han was Rescued, Fett was defeated and Vader was defeated. They pretty much closed the series out with this one. I read all of this way back when.

  • your right that they never got around to releasing Return of the Jedi for NES but they were halfways done with it before they discarded it so I doubt that Han's rescue and Fett and Vaders defeats had anything to do with it. They were just taking libertys that video game makers take to make a better game.

  • Too bad they never made a Return Of The Jedi NES game.

  • The graphics aren't the greatest, but the sound rendition is unbelievable for a NES game.

  • No problem! It's an awesome game and I hope people enjoy revisiting it!

  • COOL!!

I bought a generation nex (just for old time sakes) and have this exact old ESB nes game.

It's still in good condition and I play it whe ever I get the chance.

The problem is that I could neve get out of the Hoth level!! But I stoPped playing in 1995 ANYWAYS. I just got carried away with the new playstation that was HOT back then. you know

  • Well, hey, click my profile to see how to exit Hoth. The videos are there. To my knowledge, those are the only videos on YouTube that make a sincere effort to play the game.

  • thanks a lot for posting this and all empire strikes back nes videos. After 15 years, I finally could watch the ending of this game.

    Thanks again
