aja mere pyar ke sahare abhi abhi... is not in the movie. when i had an opportunity to meet OPN sahab, he mentioned that the song was recorded, picturised but deleted from the movie because of the length. one can easily locate the situation of the song in the film. well many OPN sahab songs were recorded but not included in the movies, deleted from the movies or simply never picutrised. can some one submit a list of such OPN sahab songs? i remember about 6 songs.
OPNayyar was a great magician....Yes...he was more a magician than composer...The effective use of Dholak differentiates him from other contemporaries...Ashaji is as usual.....all time great....One song is missing from the post -- Aaja mere pyar ke sahare abhi abhi from the same movie.....
This is the magic of O P NAYAR He was master of these sort of catchy tunes and his style of composition was very unique and his SIGNATURE was always there in almost his all the compositions In this song his BEAT is based on KEHERVA 8 BEATS RHYTHM but played in O P NAYARZ style 03332604292
THis is a testament to the versatility of Mala Sinha. She dared to play roles that none of her contemporaries would. Be it a Chinese spy, an unwed mother or Hindu Bahurani, she was the greatest of the Bollywood actresses who was never acknowledged by her peers. I think posterity will be kinder to this most expressive actress that bollywood never crowned.
the only movie produced by Joy Mukerjee starring all Bengalis-Joy, Mala Sinha and Sharmila Tagore. The movie flopped but song, music and Singers all became hit.
Awesome song but pretty explit lyrics. She Wants a "suhag raat" without strings.Old song writers surely knew how to camoflarge the meaning in their songs
The best camouflage song is "mohabbat cheez hai kya yeh sooli chadhh kar dekhenge"!! I think you get the drift!!! The song is from OP Nayyar's Yeh Raat Phir Na Aayegi.
What a amazing number. Thanks for uploading :-)
