Music to my ears! I was riding in my fathers Fletcher arrowbolt with this engine when I was kid. 42 knots top speed if I remember correctly nice cruising at 30. Greetings from Sweden where Fuel is 8.50 per gallon :-(.

All I can do now is just watch my video now! I have this motor pulled down. Painting it and putting new decals on it.
Getting rid of the old cable pulley steering and fitting teleflex type. Tired of pumping the fuel bulb so fitting facet electric pump.
The timing belt snapped on my last outing! It's second time water police have had to tow me :( time before that was the gearbox failure due to oil going bad. My fuilt!

Love these engines! My Dad had one on the 18ft Malibu we leard to slalom behind. With a coarse prop on it could go like stink! But F*&$ it could suck fuel at the most alarming rate!! Happy days.... Outboards will never look sound or smell as good again!

love it and miss my old 90 hp inline 6 cylinder Mercury , she was very worn and loose but when you hit the throttle she would let you know she was still good to go !

this is the right size moter out of all these sixes .the 90 had too many pots for the size it was .

I have one on an 18ft baja, and when I punch it, the boat literally wheelies out of the water... the boat is light, (rated for 175hp!) i love these engines, except when they grenade pistons
