It has a pretty good stereo, but I had to keep the stereo off so I could hear that sweet V8 coming out of every curve. Never used to be a Ford fan but I bloody well am now.

@kevint1818 the gt500 is a much faster than a 12.7 evan smith wheeled one to a 11.9 bone stock! i would take the gt500 over any mustang gt. the 5.0 4v is a cool little engine but your talking about a engine that is pretty much from the ford gt supercar!
@kevint1818 iv seen a pro driver with ideal conditions and a few test runs and the 2010 gt500 ran a 11.9 @ almost 120mph, with slicks put on it ran 11.5. I bet a new 2011 5.0 will do 12.1-12.2 with those conditions and high 11's with slicks.
Listening to some of the technical info @ about the :45 mark....I believe it's rated at 540 HP instead of 500, the previous gen of GT500 was rated at 500. Also car is limited from the factor to 155 MPH, perhaps it's able to reach 175 MPH with the factory limit removed.

You're an idiot if you buy this. Its nearly identical to a base model Stang, all they did was slap a badge and SC on a Truck engine and overpriced it.
If you want a performance stang Go to Roush or Saleen at least they got rid of that crippling LRA and put a real IRS, brakes, LSD etc. Not just a SC like Shelby.
The Shelby's performance is sad compared to its price and power.

His dad has known him his whole life, and there is nothing wrong with nice cars for sixteen year old's, there is something wrong however with others jealousy. (I have a 2007 zo6 that my dad gave me for my 16th birthday and I still have never had any type of accident for three years)

@deloriagod Yeah same thing with the Camaros (and this all is obviously opinion) but i think that the car looks to much like a box and the front end just is flat then comes a 90 degree angle towards the ground. Their front ends look like the back ends with different light colors.

Someone wanna tell me why anyone would get this car instead of a 2011 GT if Motortrend tested the GT500 at 12.8 seconds...and also tested the 2011 GT at 12.7 seconds?
If this car can run a 12.3 with a pro driver ideal conditions, what would the GT do? 20K difference is too much...

@kevint1818 the gt500 is a much faster than a 12.7 evan smith wheeled one to a 11.9 bone stock! i would take the gt500 over any mustang gt. the 5.0 4v is a cool little engine but your talking about a engine that is pretty much from the ford gt supercar!

@kevint1818 iv seen a pro driver with ideal conditions and a few test runs and the 2010 gt500 ran a 11.9 @ almost 120mph, with slicks put on it ran 11.5. I bet a new 2011 5.0 will do 12.1-12.2 with those conditions and high 11's with slicks.

Listening to some of the technical info @ about the :45 mark....I believe it's rated at 540 HP instead of 500, the previous gen of GT500 was rated at 500. Also car is limited from the factor to 155 MPH, perhaps it's able to reach 175 MPH with the factory limit removed.

You're an idiot if you buy this. Its nearly identical to a base model Stang, all they did was slap a badge and SC on a Truck engine and overpriced it.
If you want a performance stang Go to Roush or Saleen at least they got rid of that crippling LRA and put a real IRS, brakes, LSD etc. Not just a SC like Shelby.
The Shelby's performance is sad compared to its price and power.
