  • when you spray with pledge do you wipe it off? let it dry? something else? i sprayed mine with pledge and it made it not slide as well. i think i did something wrong

  • @AustinLitner Are you using the old fashioned Lemon scented Pledge furniture spray? Pledge makes a lot of different products. You want the old fashioned furniture spray. And yes, spray it on and wipe it off. Don't let it dry on there. It should make the surface incredibly slick, just like ice.

  • LOL ok heading to Lowes when my wife gets home from work....Just waiting for my EZ Goal from Costco to arrive...

  • WOW! The puck slides VERY well. Nice Vid!

  • what length are the bungee cords ??

  • @Loz10A I ended up using a 36" and a 12" linked together. I had a bag of assorted lengths and hooked 2 together to wrap around and get a pretty good tension. You just need to play with it though.

  • in the video did you tape 2 pieces together or did you buy the pad like that(how big the pad is in the video). Respond fast might buy 1 today.

  • @football349 It is one sheet that is 4ft by 8 ft. You could probably tape 2 or more together if you wanted a longer pad.

  • can u shoot well off of it

  • @Thrillg83 Never shot off it. I use in inside in a small room.

  • Literally went to lowes after i saw this and got the 8x4 sheet for 11 dollars, the puck slides very very well, great video

  • @Hengster4 hey, do you have a link on the lowes site? I need to find out what the material is. thanks.

  • did you have to spray the board for it to be slipery also how much did it cost

  • @xXDarkWolfXx961 I sprayed the board with Pledge to make it slippy. Spray it and then wipe it off. I do not know how much Pledge costs..not much.

  • great help

  • wow this guys awesome he made something out of nothing and this other video i saw same thing just with metal and rubber they wanted 99 bucks for it geez rip off

  • i found this exact hardboard at home hardware for $8.99 (Canada) and your idea helped me. As so for the puck re-bounder. it is way bigger though. it is about 55cm's longer though. just saying thanks for the idea

  • Whats the name of the board you found at home hardware I couldn't find it

  • @wackyfreakyrandom Hey, do you have the link to the product on their website? Or a number I could use to find it? All these other numbers are for the American sites. Thanks.

  • whats the name of the board you used? i dont want the p/n for homedepot, id like to know the board name please :).

  • @cooldudz123 It is a 1/8" smooth panel board made by DPI (Decorative Panel Industries). It is used for finishing work in kitchens and such, like maybe the face board on the back of an island with cabinets. Goto Lowes site and search for "dpi white hardboard" to see what it looks like.

  • @paveldatsyuk23 Lowes Item #16605

  • i live in Canada but is the pad a moulding and millwork white board 4/8? just want to know for when i get one

  • See above Lowes Item#

Print that out and take it to the store in Canada.

  • Thanks for putting this video out there. I am trying to make a hockey environment in the basement for my son on a shoe string budget. Have you ever tried to connect these boards together to make a larger surface?

  • @looktiselena I have not. I would think you could; maybe join them with a strip of that clear packing tape. However, you'd need to join them before spraying the board with Pledge, as then it is so slick, nothing would stick. You obviously cannot skate on this, but I like your idea for extra long passes. I would think the longer you make this, the tighter the bungee has to be to have enough recoil force to send the puck back extra far.

  • Whats it called?

  • @griffdowdy57 What is what called?

  • Thx

What length is needed for the bungee cord? Or tension wise?

  • @Hockeychance See Below

  • Thx

And any specific length needed for the bungee cord? Or tension wise?

  • @Hockeychance Just a regular old bungee cord. The tighter you make, the faster it comes back I guess. Just play around with it.

  • Is this panel strong enough to take shots on???

    Thx

  • @Hockeychance Never have, I use it my house. But I suspect it would be fine.

  • Nice work........thanks for the vid:)

  • Very resourceful!

  • is the skills pannel able to take shots

  • @dumbpeker I've never tried it as I keep it in my rec room and cann't take shots in the house. I do not see why it would not work.

  • that white sheet price us or canadien?

  • @Blizzard020 It Is $12US

  • Comment removed

  • It is 4 ft wide and 8 ft long. Is that what you were asking?

  • This won't mess up the bottom of the blade right.

  • @omgjohnlouie No more than Ice would do.

  • @SuperInventorMan Alright thanks cause I just bought one today from Lowe's

  • nice stuff man. wish my dad did that.... couldn't even play hockey in the house. :-) I am going to build a rebounder based on your design. I wonder if we could use a pool/billard triangle, just add 3 legs?

  • Should work. You'll need to put some weight on it so it does not move. I had my re bounder out last week and needed to re-pledge it. Noticed some dust had built up on it during storage against the wall and the puck was not sliding as well. Once pledged, it was slick as can be again.

I wish I could leave my re-bounder on the floor all the time, but "my family" doesn't allow it either.

  • great video very helpfull thank you

  • Just got this today, works AMAZING...thank you so much!!

  • Is the back brown

  • Yes, it is brown

  • Nice thats way better than my skillpad!

  • Actually, the number you gave confused the hell out of Home Depot people (imagine that). They kept thinking it was a sku #. It's really a UPC code, just to clear up any confusion for others.

    Thanks for this, great video!

  • I don't see on Home Depot website anymore, but it was in the store. It is at Lowes as DPI 1/8"D x 4'W x 8'H Thrifty White Hardboard Wall Panel Item #: 16605 | Model #: 300 for $11.87.

BTW, I made the puck rebounder a triangle. A square may be easier. I also saw one that was just a long 2X4 set off the ground with a bungy cord nailed tot he front. Many possibilities. I should note I still suck at hockey after making this.

  • sweet stuff man

  • What is the exact name of the plastic?

  • @devin2482 HDPE (High Density Polyethylene), its surprising that he found this at home depot, the only place i've seen those is at actual industrial plastic companies
