Great job on this one. Believe it or not I have the original Columbia 45 rpm record of this one (it's on back of mixed up confused) but I've never listened to it. Now I will.

    thanks

  • wow. best cover of it i've seen so far.

    brilliant work, john

and at the risk of pestering you, the guitarist in me can't help but ask for tabs. :3

  • Do you offer the tabs for this?

This is quite brilliant, and I've really been looking for some good "Corrina, Corrina" tabs.

  • Fucking brilliant! what fret is the capo on and what key is that harp?

  • Open D tuning. Capo on second. A harmonica.

  • this is a great cover of one of dylans best songs 5*

  • Glad you enjoyed it BruisedArcade09

  • Thanks...senior moment! Gut strings? Not since the 19th century I'd guess!

I like the passing chord on the turnaround too..

  • Very nice..2 of my all-time favorites Corrina and North Country. May I ask what kind of guitar you're playing? And are those steel or gut strings? Thanks...

  • Cheers dino52047. Its a Yamaha classical guitar with nylon wound and nylon strings. I usually play this guitar when I'm using alternative tunings. The strings never break. It's a steel string Yamaha I play in North Country.

    All the best,

    Jonn

  • ....fuck it is amazing man! verry verry verry amazing the best cover of bob dylan i'm verry "impressionner" (i don't spek englich sorry)

    10/10

  • Just popped along here from "Don't Think Twice" and now I know I've struck gold for sure. For 46 years this Dylan classic has been going round my head and I knew all those years ago I just had to learn it. Now I can thanks to you; this is superb my friend..... I'm a fan

  • Thanks for the comments Lowdenjim. It's good to hear from people that they're using my videos to learn tunes. If you didn't already know, it's in open D (DADF#AD)

  • Did the same as you Jim and I agree with your sentiments. By the way I have a Lowden geetar, Don't suppose that's what Lowden refers to?

  • Yes I do - an old original George Lowden hand-built job from his early days in Bangor; it's a bit scratched now but plays well enough - you can check it out on my other videos.

    "Lowden" James_Wright

  • Cheers dylan3058

  • wow, this is great, your playing is amazing

  • Glad you enjoyed it agussmm

  • Reallly nice man!

wicked fingerpicker. your vid helped me learn which will , and im gonna use this video to learn this one as well . thanks and keep up the good tunes !

  • Cheers omarragbag1

Post a video when you've learned it.

    Jonn

  • Wow - what a terrific cover. That's some beautiful guitar work and your voice goes really well with it - kudos!

  • Good of you to say so 19evolved79.

    Cheers.

  • Very natural delivery... Great job!

  • What key is your harp in?

  • A harp.

(Tuning is open D (DADF#AD), capo on second )

  • Checking out all your posts. This is also excellent. You have a metronomic sense of timing and effortless pacing. Very relaxed and natural. Also you are spot on with the high notes (please come home) You have to be a session musician - if not you should be.

  • Cheers divadnarollah,

Nice thought, but not the case I'm afraid.

  • As usual very good playing, but above all very instructive with excellent view of whats happening on the guitar with both hands. Saw other commenters asking for tabs but dont understand why, watching this vid is a much more effective way of learning the piece than struggling with some boring and often poorly assembled tab.

  • Thanks Jonas,

I agree about the benefit of learning from tabs. They are not always correct, although I find that tabs can be useful for finding out if there is an alternative tuning being used. It can save a lot of confusion (if the info is correct).

    Cheers,

    Jonn

  • Wow, nice work, this is one of my favorite dylan songs!! Ive been wanting to learn this song for a long time but i cannot find tabs anywhere. Did you use any specific tabs off the internet?

  • Glad you enjoyed it ECnorthernlights.

I just kind of picked it up by ear. It's not too difficult. It's in open D (DADF#AD)tuning if that's of any help.

    Cheers,

    Jonn

  • you've got some ear / tallent :)

  • Cheers vladutze84. Glad you enjoyed it.

  • Wow, this is fantastic. Yours is definitely the best cover of this song I've seen on youtube, incredible work. I actually think you did better harp work on this than Dylan himself did on the album version. Also, is the guitar arrangement your own? I thought it was really impressive, seeing as you're essentially playing two guitar parts at the same time.

Greetings from Amsterdam, thanks for brightening my day a bit!

  • Thanks for such positive feedback.

The arangement is my attempt to get my guitar to sound as much like the two guitars in Dylan's song as I could. I'm happy enough with the outcome.

    All the best from Glasgow.

  • Great work on guitar and harp. I'm starting with harmonica since 2 weeks and your videos will help, especially with an A key harp like yours on it.*****

    STeeve

  • Thanks Steeve.

Good to hear from a fellow harmonica player.

  • Just about perfect.

  • Really good mate.

    Btw what tuning is that?

  • Thanks man.

Tuning is open D (DADF#AD), capo on second with an A harp.

    Jonn

  • Music to my ears!

    Amy

  • This was so beautifully peaceful and dreamy.

Wonderful playing & singing, Jonn! All the stars!

  • Excellent cover!!!

  • Glad you enjoyed it blinddrunkal.

    Cheers,

    Jonn
