I don't think APC will ever be as active as they were from 2000-2004. Maynard has said they will work together again, just on a smaller scale, a couple songs, maybe a few shows. I think they will eventually do a full length album, but I don't see them ever touring like they did
What makes APC is the dynamic between Billy's guitar parts and overall arrangements paired with Maynards vocal melodies and synchopated rhythms... take one away and the whole thing falls apart, or at the very least isn't APC.

I think the ashes divide album sucks balls. I mean the stone is an amazing song, really powerful and catchy but the rest of the album is really dull and boring.
Another original perfect circle album would be amazing, i really think it brings out the best in howerdel.

When i saw A perfect Circle in 03' it just wasn't the same because i was such a fan of the first album that James Iha and Jeordie White just wasn't it for me with Thirteenth Step. Josh Freese is an extremely in demand studio drummer with hundreds of albums to his name. If you are petty enough to be disappointed by just that, then you will be extremely disappointed by his resume.

Tim played on The Hollow, but because he lived so far away from Billy and Maynard, it became too much of a hassle to have him on the record, so they went with Josh for the remainder of the album.
I find documentaries of the creative process in the studio a lot more than a touring DVD. Knowing the band we will probably never get a "in the studio" type of a DVD (it most likely doesnt even exist), so I will take a live touring band DVD. ha!
TOOL has one more CD to make off a court ordered record deal that TOOL WON in a LAWSUIT. I forget what the claim was in the lawsuit but the band won and court ordered them to get a high amount of money and 3 record deal. I think they got screwed over during the Aenima tour.
Anyways Tool is milking it in a way.
If a DVD comes out it wont be through TOOLs present rights holders. (Thus APC and Puscifer as loop holes for Maynard). Tool will do it after the cntract ovr.
I think Maynard might not want to release a dvd of concert footage. Why isn't there a live Tool dvd after all this time? I would love to relive a concert experience on dvd but I think he's the type of person that would rather have people experience the concerts in person. I hope I'm wrong though. I'd be first in line for any live Tool/APC dvd.
Its weird because Maynard was never happy with the production of the undertow cd. and face it... it lacks depth and volume. I pretty much always have to max my volume for that cd its so low. it was really poorly mixed and produced. Aenima was their entry to REAL production.
Maynard has said he likes some of the live versions better than the recorded. He seems to love their live way of playing "46 and 2" for one./
you have to turn it up because the mastering standards in 1993 weren't nearly as loud as they were in 1996, 2001, or 2006. i agree with the Undertow mix, though, because the guitars are panned too far to the right (except 4º, but that's because the guitars are in mono).
I think it's funny; knowing how Tool cds fly off the rack the first day they're available with more or less just word-of-mouth advertising, it's interesting to hear Billy say that neither him nor Maynard have put any effort into releasing APC live DVD. They would really only have to get someone to put it together, then they would have to approve it, release it, and us fans would do the rest! I swear, they would make at least a couple million bucks if they did, so why not?!

I find documentaries of the creative process in the studio a lot more than a touring DVD. Knowing the band we will probably never get a "in the studio" type of a DVD (it most likely doesnt even exist), so I will take a live touring band DVD. ha!

Some back ground info.
TOOL has one more CD to make off a court ordered record deal that TOOL WON in a LAWSUIT. I forget what the claim was in the lawsuit but the band won and court ordered them to get a high amount of money and 3 record deal. I think they got screwed over during the Aenima tour.
Anyways Tool is milking it in a way.
If a DVD comes out it wont be through TOOLs present rights holders. (Thus APC and Puscifer as loop holes for Maynard). Tool will do it after the cntract ovr.

Show them get in the studio to make the new album. Show how the creative process gpoes. then record parts of the first tour leg to add to it and boom.

I think Maynard might not want to release a dvd of concert footage. Why isn't there a live Tool dvd after all this time? I would love to relive a concert experience on dvd but I think he's the type of person that would rather have people experience the concerts in person. I hope I'm wrong though. I'd be first in line for any live Tool/APC dvd.

Its weird because Maynard was never happy with the production of the undertow cd. and face it... it lacks depth and volume. I pretty much always have to max my volume for that cd its so low. it was really poorly mixed and produced. Aenima was their entry to REAL production.
Maynard has said he likes some of the live versions better than the recorded. He seems to love their live way of playing "46 and 2" for one./

you have to turn it up because the mastering standards in 1993 weren't nearly as loud as they were in 1996, 2001, or 2006. i agree with the Undertow mix, though, because the guitars are panned too far to the right (except 4º, but that's because the guitars are in mono).

I think it's funny; knowing how Tool cds fly off the rack the first day they're available with more or less just word-of-mouth advertising, it's interesting to hear Billy say that neither him nor Maynard have put any effort into releasing APC live DVD. They would really only have to get someone to put it together, then they would have to approve it, release it, and us fans would do the rest! I swear, they would make at least a couple million bucks if they did, so why not?!

Why does it matter what kind of person maynard is? I have never and probably will never hear a voice as good as his. There are a few people, who I can count on one hand, who can keep a note like him. Maynards not about pleasing dickheads like you who don't understand the meaning he is trying to get across. And who cares if he gets naked and jacks-off on stage! He is a lead singer of 3 to 4 major bands. Maybe he would jack off in your face to shut you the hell up.

Hahaha this video title is slightly mis-leading it sounds like a live dvd will not get released for years. Oh well I have their aMOTION dvd to keep me entertained until then.
Also Ashes Divide was fairly disappointing some good material but hoping for a better release from Billy in the future!
