The liquid used is parrafin (kerosine). It burns at a relitively low temperature and if swallowed will only cause severe diarrhea, BUT if kerosine droplets are inhaled you could get pneumonia

You can, but this flammable liquid is designed in such a way that its viscosity allows you to make a very, very fine mist. This is important because if you spray a jet rather than a mist (at a pressure not high enough) the flame can travel up the source and into your mouth. That my friend, is not pretty, haha.

Regarding the fuel. You don't want to use 151, butane, or any alchohol. Liquid Parafim Wax, aka lamp oil
