  • In regards to people commenting about her armpit hair.. You all have it. You guys just decided to shave it, but there is a reason we have it. The same reason we have pubic hair. It protects those sensitive areas from bacteria and such. If anything, I find it truly inspiring to see such a beautiful soul embracing her body, accepting it for what it is!

  • cool vid and song but armpit hair has to go....what r u trying to do have dreads there 2

  • can you guys please stop to discuss about the hair under her arms? Ö_Ö

  • What is seriously wrong with this girl having armpit hair?? Nothing at all you sexist pigs.

  • yes!! SIA

  • If the girls are as beautiful as her where she comes from, i'm going to have to move there. LOL.

  • I know her :P!!

  • Women can still have hair under their arms and be beautiful -.-

  • How do you make the end of the hair in a Dreadlock to be as thick as in the beggining of one?

  • Legal quero meu dread, 0,

  • OMG I LOVE THAT SONG! hah!

  • @APHRODITEEEEEE what song it is?

  • @Oromantas Music is Sia with "Buttons" it says so in the description

  • whats the song? :)

  • this is the best "starting" method except for the rubber bands not that good the hair needs to move around and the bands can cause damage make your roots weak and increase your chances of root breakage. If you are patient enough go the traditional (natural) way just stop brushing your hair and use residue free shampoo with no conditioning and you hair will knot up on it's own. it's bee 18 months for me and they are doing great. BTW your locks are very nice Anna.

  • @capitaindouleur they put the rubber band cause their hair is super straight..... ill grow natural.. for black thick curly hair its easier cause their root its harder....

  • @comekissme1 I have super straight blond Norse like hair and it is locking up fine with out rubber bands but I do agree that it takes a lot longer then thick curly air for sure I'm just saying that the rubber bands are not necessary and even not good it can cause damage to the roots and for knotting up the hair needs to move around the bands prevent this. If you want to do it then go for it all I'm doing is giving advice.

  • HEY! so, im getting dreadlocks very soon, but im puzzled. i have a centre part with grown out bangs that are about down to my chin, i dont know how to section those so that they are about the same length as my other hair! im so confused as to how im going to do that, so if you could enlighten me that would be dandy! If you dont get what im saying then i can make a video response. but can you HELP ME?! peace and love :)

  • holy***, someone always watch under her arms? I would see nothing, if I have not looked at yours silly comments.

  • "But that's life"

    amen

  • This is the method I did for mine :)

  • I've never seen dreads done this way, how creative and different, like it.

  • Who cares about armpit hair? It's technically weirder to shave it xD

  • @rachelseagroatt : I shave mine, but I completely agree with you. Did woman shave their armpits hundreds of years ago? Uh no? That's just wrong of people to think woman need to shave any part of their body - it's natural! Do men shave theirs? No, if they had ever started we'd think it was weird that they didn't shave theirs, would we say anything? Probably not because they're men.

    Society is so stupid!

  • @nakedboxes then why shave yours....

  • siiaaaaa.

  • that is dope as hell

  • do you have tumbler?

  • how long did it take to make that ONE lock?

  • last year I made my dreadlocks in the same way, but after 1 week my hair became horrible... why?

  • @AliceBezzi Normal it is all part of the process. It takes about a year or so sometimes longer for dreadlocks to mature. If you want to you do not need to 'make' them just stop brushing your hair and it will lock up on it's own. Make sure you wash your hair with non residue shampoo. Just separate the locks that are to big for your taste and you will have healthy long lasting locks.

  • @TheAnnaAprilla how old are you?

  • how does that work? u just bring the hair together and separate it a billion times? im so confused haha

  • Eleven people have no hair!!!

  • Will that dread stay the same size or get thicker??

  • @tryptaminddd I think dreads usually slim down, actually. Because they knot and tighten.

  • @AbbehRose Nope actually they get fatter after they lock up so I wouldn't go with a section of hair too big, be sure because it will get bigger, the only thing is the method you use determines just how much bigger

  • wtf???

  • i subscribed :)

  • you're sooo effing pretty and the fact that you have underarm hair makes you even prettier..i wish i can be more natural looking like her :(

  • i find dreadlocks,, damaging for yur hair >.>

  • You're awesome.

  • lol er det der lea fra århus

  • How long does it roughly take to make a dread using this method with your friends hair length? :)

  • coooool this is actually the first time i've seen hair dreaded this way. seems a little better than the backcombing method

  • thank you for this tutorial and for your help on your blog - i made my dreads last night w/ the help of my sister in law and my husband :) i hope mine look as nice as yours when they are 25 months old :)

  • Could u come dread my hair for me pwease ? :D <3

  • Did she get her whole head dreaded? If so, are there before and after photo's you could show? I am trying to get an idea of the volume dreadlocks give for thin hair. Thank you!

  • What's the song?

  • thanks for the video but that song got SO FRICKING ANNOYING!

  • that takes a long time

  • which song it this?

  • @Galedlothia nvm lol

  • I think u are beautiful but just can't get used to the hair under your arms :/

  • @MsSilentchaos she will dread them!!

  • @MsSilentchaos hory sheeeet i didn't even notice. fail eyes are fail

  • @MsSilentchaos Well... What is the problem? I mean, what is it that you find weird about it???

  • Comment removed

  • is that hair under your hand 6:13 ??... wawww you really hot girl.. but nice vid :)

  • because i have such thin hair should i start out with thicker pieces?

  • Asi no se hacen

  • @quieroverte100 solo es una de las millones de formas de hacerlos ademas fijate nadie tiene igual las rastas

  • Cierto...hay de muchas formas

  • Do you have extensions in your own hair?

  • Hej! Jeg har hørt at når man er færdig med sine dreadlocks, så begynder håret at gro ind i hinanden, så man ikk skal til at gører noget ved det...Er det rigtigt?

  • Thanks for the video, very useful. You got some cool hair going on.

  • Do you lose any length when you do this method, does the hair get shorter after being dreaded? I know backcombing you can lose a bit of length, but idk about this method. Thank you :D!

  • sia ♥

  • for how long time do you need to wear the rubberbands?

  • my god, i dont understand a fuck :/ ....no offense, but your english is pretty bad.

  • @MuRdErDoLL90 Yours isn't great. 'I don't understand a fuck' doesn't make sense. Practice what you preach my dear!

  • @Equinoxxa are you her lawyer? lol .... im not your dear, and i have no time for you.

  • everyone knows that your hair gets shorter when you dread it... but which method is better if you want longer dreads? backcombing or twist and rip?

  • @TheLittleMissTori

Hello, if you would like longer dreads i suggest the twist and rip.

But personally i prefer back combing since it will also become harder on the inside quicker.

Also the first few years of dreadlocks they will grow a bit and then shrink again untill its really hard :)

Goodlucking getting your dreads done! :D

  • Why to wash the hair before making? I believe they will have better 'grip' if a hair is oily a little bit. :)

  • @MrGrabich well if you use normal shampoo it has silicone in it and that is not good but if you wash your hair before dreading and you use bar soap, your hair gets stripped from all the crap in it you use to make it shiny and healthy looking giving more grip... its better to wash your hair before dreading but dont use any fancy smelling expensive shampoo.. the best is natural soap... like a bar of soap :)

  • @TheLittleMissTori Yeah, I know. I already have my dreads. But, completely clean hair is kinda too raw for dreading. But oily hair is kinda easily to hold. I don't know how to describe it. If it's not fresh clean, it's "stickier", you know. At least from my experience. It's more obedient, you know. :)

  • you are twisting the hair and then pulling it??!

  • are you going to dreadlock your armpit hair? can I ask why you let it grow?

  • otro video porfavor muy hermosas dreadlocks :D

  • How do you take care of them after you first get them? Do you wash them? When do you take out the rubber bands?

  • that is really easy, and sure it's time a little time consuming, but it's a lot easier than backcombing everyday. :3 woo, thank you. :D this helps a lot !

  • you're mi idol<3 *-------*, and you are very beautiful.

  • you're so adorable (:

  • There are much better methods, than this one. This one just takes too much time and it isn't easier at all..

  • so you don't backcomb it at all?

also, how long did this one dread take to do?

    thanks :)

  • What song is playing? :)

  • @akotasun buttons by sia :D

  • Hej

Heter Henrik, bor i Borås, Sverige

Ville bara passa på att säga att du är så søt!!

  • Hej Anna

Jag heter Henrik och bor i Borås, Sverige

Ville bara passa på att säga att du är så søt!!!!

  • I dont get it, why do you put a rubberband on the end?

  • haha i don't need that... my hair is that much cruly: when the heairs start to get dryer after taking a shower they become kinde of dread like. i think i'll stop to calm my hair right now^^

  • What do you do with the new hair that grows? Can you keep palm rolling it? Or, do you seperate and pull that hair back down to the scalp too like you create the dread itself? And when do you take the bands out of the hair? I just want to make sure I have done enough research before I get dreads. You're one of my inspirations! =)

  • @ XxHornet21zxX about 4 hours

  • How long does it take to get all the locks in?

  • Can they be removed?

  • I'll Pay You To Do Mine!!!! Hit Me Up!!

  • @MissYoungFlower i love yooouu (^^;)

  • @MissYoungFlower nothing, i just asked, coz u so beautiful. do u want marry me? XD

  • do you shave your underarms?!?!?!

  • Why don't you just twine her hair into a drill it would go much faster and cut out the wrest of the anoying process,

  • cool thank you

  • does the result get better if you have middle parting?:)

  • what is the name of the song???

  • @cvnas Sia - buttons, read the description before posting

  • Chresus Jist, I love your face.

  • @PrincessSlayer92 is that girl you?

  • muy fachhooo

  • you shouldn't use rubber bands because they can melt in your hair, but you can use beads instead! you are so pretty!

  • you're a beauty .. but why don't you shave your armpits?! :D

  • @didntmeananything seriously. fuck off. its natural, its already beautiful.

  • @poltergiest11 just my opinion!

  • @didntmeananything ok. funny ironic name!

  • do you wash your dreadlocks?

  • how do you took it out? can you make a tutorial where you show it?

  • when doo youu takee out the rubber bandds.?

  • @AnniieeKiidd i suggest after about 2 months. that's how long i kept my rubber bands in. lol :p

  • @BeanIrene that's how my friend did them. And they are sexy

  • Comment removed

  • Im making my second one right now, using this method :D On my first one i just backcombed and ussed wax, and it went really short, whereas this method keeps it nice and long :) Thanks Anna, I LOVE YOUR HAIRR!! :D

  • @AllyCope18

i have medium length hair and am concerned about them shortening up a lot.

i havent yet started but i beleive im going to try this method instead of the wax.

it also seems healthier for your hair.

  • It's how I did mine.

  • Use a crochet hook.

  • @arequiredapathy This is HORRIBLE advice. Crochet hook is BAD and not the way to go at all. Let the dreads be. Just let them be.

  • :D

  • ah okey. btw, er du dansk? jeg er norsk, kjente igjen språket på en av de andre videoene dine :D digger videoene dine!

  • How much time did that dread take to make?

  • Palm rolling isn't really necessary. Best way for dreads is time and patience :)

  • what song is this? :)

  • @CrayonsNWafflecones pretty sure its buttons by sia.

  • @CrayonsNWafflecones sia - buttons

  • Can you do a update on your dreads soon please!! :)

  • i love them i wish you could do mine

  • im the 16th like lol

  • How long did it took you to finish the dread

  • so cute^^

  • Im actually dreading my friends hair tonight because of this vid :)

  • what do you do with grow hair ?

  • @krzyyyp Not much. But you can palmroll

  • @TheAnnaAprilla Palmroll?

  • @krzyyyp use a knitting hook or whatever it's called to pull your hair inside the dread AND palmroll

  • can you film her hair when you are completely done with it? i wanna see the results :)

  • @ishukita She didn't want to have dreads, she just agreed to get one done for your sake ;) I took it out right after, which was a pain in the ass :D

  • @TheAnnaAprilla D: she would look realllyyyy good with dreads! (:

  • @TheAnnaAprilla You're a very good friend for doing that. And so is she for letting you do that to her hair. I really like the way your dreadlocks turned out. Even with they "shitty" loops near the roots. It just has a more natural look to it and that's what I'm planning on going for. But one question, do you think it'd be at all possible to not use rubber bands near the roots? Or is that better for tightening and locking? Or what? Would appreciate a reply when you can. :]

  • @TheAnnaAprilla how did you take it out? :)

  • @TheAnnaAprilla hvordan tog du dem ud?

  • Damn that turned out nice!

  • Your so pretty :)

  • the dreadlocks you make look great :)

  • @WhatsTheTimeMrsWolf Thanks a lot! :)

  • i think im 4th

  • @mKLakakiLLi :-*

  • we're 3
