  • "The greatest conflicts this country has ever seen were the conflicts of trade unions towards the end of a Labour government."

These 'greatest conflicts' weren't a patch on the divisions of the Civil War, clearly.

  • In Britain, she is called the iron lady.

A women of this caliber, in Mexico, we would say a women with cojones(balls).

Has to be one of Britain's best prime minister.

  • She changed her self to change a nation.. Really one of the great leaders the world has seen.

  • I dont know if she was a good or a bad politician but she really was a big women.

  • The worst prime minister this country has ever seen.

  • all these she was great what a load of bollocks

    milk thieving bitch

  • I hated the old bitch, she was so hard, you could crack walnuts on her face.

Her legacy is a Britain full of self-serving, discompassionate materialistic racists.

  • As Grandad answered in the pub quiz. Q: Who was the first female prime minister? Crowd: Oh, er, ms, miss, er mrs. Grandad: MISTAKE!

  • She had a lovely, smooth yet convincing tone which was substituted by that... annoying, imposing, humming noise someone judged to be more suitable to the role she envisioned to play on politics. I believe nowadays any sensible counselor would not advise her alike, in fact, I need to believe, those kind of raw and childish assumptions about both voters and politicians have been forsaken for good, specially those concerning their relationship and the foundation of the reliability of the later.

  • I liked her voice before better.

  • SLUT

  • Worthless bitch!

  • @kathrynsmith724

    Don't put yourself down!

  • to be able to lead such a powerful nation like britain she would need a strong and powerful leadership tone.

  • Totally fuckin insane

  • This is absolutely amazing. What a transformation!

  • Is not the stinking old bitch dead yet?..soon I think.

  • @Meadoway40 , you may not agree with her politics but you have to admit, she was one tough woman. Are you on the Welfare roles or what?

  • Auld cunt.

  • This is a good example about the fact that politicians are made like singers and other people working in the public field. They have to be selling an image to people. From current politicians Obama is the best example. He's the biggest and a very well made product in the field of politics. He was very Jeremiah Wright in his very first speech but people didn't like it. So he was transformed into a calm, eloquent version almost over night and that product sold like crazy.

  • Evil witch. She even took away pensioners eye tests while making tax cuts for the rich and treated us like idiots by saying it wouldn't be good for our economy to have a minimum wage.

  • @SuzLa1

Tax cuts serve good everybody, no matter who is meant to be the first beneficiant of them. Minimum wage is bad as well eg as an excuse why you don't get a pay rise ("mind you you earn over minimum wage").

    Basics of economics.

  • @moltoobrigado You obviously don't have a clue what you're talking about as the Conservatives taxed the poor more as they put up sales tax from about 8% to 20% now. Were the first to add tax to household bills. yet they took away free eye tests for old people and took away many public services. As you don't seem to have a clue about much, I bet you've never paid a bill in your life and are a fat housewife.

  • @SuzLa1

Seems to me that you had few years Labour politics in the mentime who contributed even more to this tax increase (also by increasing expenses and maintaining different "free" services).

Please be aware - nothing is free - just sometimes a bill arrives a bit later and is higher.

  • @moltoobrigado I don't know why you're saying anything when you obviously know nothing. The Conservatives are only for the few at the top to make money and they trap everybody else into slaves for them. Labour didn't ever increase sales tax, but they do give society great things such as the health service and decent education. They also started the Open University. Everybody knows they're evil as it's why after so many years they still didn't have a majority as they had to join with lib dems.

  • @SuzLa1

You say " they do give society great things such as the health service and decent education". Who pays for that? If this all were free all people involved in it (doctors, nurses, teachers) would have to be slaves working for nothing. They get paid for their work, the hospital and school building cost some money, they use electricity and buy equipment as well. And you pay for that lot.

  • @moltoobrigado Even if the final bill comes later only taxpayers bear all burden of such expensive "free" "great things" there where Labour and such like govern a country (which unfortunately is almost every where)

  • @SuzLa1 Labour gave people a decent education? I think not. Education in the UK (except at a good few universities where the government does not control the syllabus) is awful. I finished my A levels last year, and I have to tell you that it is an embarrassment what we are taught. We're no longer taught things like calculus at GCSE, and at A level where you are taught it. You aren't taught where it comes from.

  • @limetang Excuse me? You don't have a clue. I went to school during the Conservative years and we had to share one text book between three people and everybody couldn't go to university like they do now. If you think it's bad now, it was worse them. The teachers couldn't be bothered as they were always on strike for a decent pay. The Conservatives told people that if they wanted a decent education they should go private.

  • @limetang You don't know how good it was during Labour if you weren't old enough to remember the Conservatives. The NHS waiting lists were the longest ever as the Conservatives hate the NHS because it was a Labour idea. Teachers were always on strike. There weren't even funds to buy enough text books. At least Labour bought in a Curriculum and league tables. The Conservatives were happy for schools to fail as they didn't want poor people to do that well.

  • @SuzLa1 Of course it was good under Labour; anyone can take out a bunch of cash on credit and splash it out on luxuries one can't afford.

  • @Henners1991 i'd just like to inform you in the nicest possible way that your comment is incredibly simplistic. I'd like to recommend to you "The Global Minotaur" by Yanis Varoufakis as a book you can pick up cheaply that might help you broaden your conception of economics

  • @multiyadayadayada Me? Read a book? Pff, if I had to pass an exam to vote, maybe... but fortunately any dumb-arse like myself gets a vote by default!

  • @SuzLa1 Here in America we have the worst Public Schools, & yet we are better funded than Norwegian Schools which is #1 in the world. This tells us that funding is not the problem, teachers are the problem.

  • @limetang Don't you mean the curriculum rather than syllabus, and I suspect that the National Union of Teachers and political correctness are more responsible for any lack of a "decent education" in both those areas than the political colour of any UK government :-)

  • "The greatest divisions this Nations has ever seen are the conflicts towards the end of a labour government"? Sorry Magie, the unions when under the control of far left leaders have been very damaging and absolute pains in the arse to this countries wellbeing but I can think of many times in our history when things have caused much greater damage, the civil wars for a start.

  • Kind of like julia gillard lol are you living in a bubble how can you coherently think this! julia gillard sounds like a plate of baked beans negotiating its way out of a cows digestive system!

  • Kind of like Julia Gillard

  • this is a powerful woman who left a legacy when britain was in the breink of a collapse being labelled the sick man of europe , anyone who says she is evil get your facts straightened up . she had the balls of a man and that's the best thing about her she gave britain the best shot that she could , for that i salute you thatcher.

  • @TheLincsteve, a tpyo error, brink, me thinks.

But the rest of your post is correct, In a time when Britain, yes Great Britain was on her

knees she did, whether some people like it or not, give us some confidence again. That is leadership. Hate or love it. She das just not imaginative to rescue the North of England, the unions an bad management destroyec the North.

  • her voice got deeper because she had a surge of power leading to an increase in her testosterone levels.

  • An evil woman who bought this country to its knees.

  • What happened to her? She actually seemed to be a nice lady...

  • @galerapesada Nothing happened to her. It's just that nice women don't get elected because they are seen as weak and stupid. Strong women are considered as bitches but at least people can see themselves being led by bitches. This is very evident in American politics. Just look at how Hillary Clinton or Sarah Palin have been treated. Clinton is a bitch/monster etc and Sarah Palin is a stupid bimbo. There are two sets of rules for men and women.

  • @XenaHeartsGabrielle And speaking of Clinton and Palin, both have been mocked extensively for their voices. Journalists from left and right have been complaining that they "nag" or "shriek", which is exactly what was said of Thatcher at the time.

Like I said, there are two sets of rules for men and women.

  • @XenaHeartsGabrielle I understand what you are saying about resistance to a feminine leader, but Palin truly has an annoying voice and it doesn't make her seem commanding.

  • It just sounds like her speech pattern changed as she aged.

  • The way that she says ''very strongly'' is kinda adorable. For me it sounds like estonian or latvian accent in english.

  • She has had voice coaching, to make her sound more authoritative and unwomanly (courtesy of programme on Radio 4)

  • the later footage looks like a seasoned general.... on killing mode...

  • gee bag

  • Power gives assurance...I like it !

  • wow, there's a big difference. I'm not sure I like it though :/ Thatcher 2.0 sounds authoritative, but she lost that human quality and started sounding like...well, a bitch XD no disrespect. But I preferred the sunnier, natural Thatcher.

  • whore.

  • Maybe I am missing something, but it seems that one is a woman who is consderably younger in the first segment, and then later in life at the pinnacle of her career. I am aware that Mrs Thatcher was coached to lower her tone, as outlined in her books and the recent feature motion picture on her life, but that's just cogent strategy on her part to further her effect, which was historically substantive.

  • I think she was the greatest Prime Minister since Churchill.. she got results and she didn't kowtow to people. Splendid woman!

  • @huwwilson650

she was a piece of shit !! She even counted amongst her freinds that filthy pig dictator of Chile General Pinochet ......and people are judged by the company they keep !

  • @ZEITGEISTism People have no right to judge anyone, for anything.

  • @huwwilson650

Tell that to Thatcher (your hero ) Who played Judge, Jury and executioner..of the majority !!

  • @huwwilson650

    Bullshit

  • Focus on what she did not her voice. She was the great Queen of Politics

  • Long live the iron lady

  • Britain are now paying for this woman's policies........neck deep in debt.

  • it was because she thought her former voice was too feminine.

she should have been ashamed of the damage she did to Britain, not of her voice.

  • @letiziatheboss she didn't do any damage to Britain fucktard.

  • @HighelfMelleWarrior you obviously aren't from the north of England, Scotland or Wales then ....

  • No matter what intonation she used...she was still a bitch!

  • she was told to deepen her voice for her campaign

  • My God she was horrid wasn't she.

  • @SeventhOne Cheap shot.

    Jew Are You?

  • Great comparison. Our voices change as we age but yes, Thatcher received training. And in my view it was a good move. It was more authoritative and forceful. Not sure why people knock it. All leaders would undergo some training.

  • women's voices naturally get deeper as they age anyway (see whitney/mariah/britney) but yh thatcher did get special training

  • I think it's mainly age, not so much about the class.

  • @ttiiyy fuckdedoo aren't you so self righteous

  • Yes, but also due to age as well and maturity I think,

  • this is very interesting. Thanks for posting it.
