I saw Danny two weeks before his passing at the Encore theatre, my Mom was visiting from abroad, and even though she might have missed some of the jokes about current events here, she truly enjoyed the show... And the 12 days of christmas was the funniest bit I have ever wittnessed live... git'r'done!!! All of my love for you Danny and your family. RIP.
I thought him terrible, when I saw him. A big racket he had going..and some bad impressions, but mostly pretty good I guess. But doing Frank, Dean, then not Sammy was lke sacreligious. Well, If you're an impressionist like me it is. But he's surely not the most talented I'D ever seen. But he didnt try very hard with the faces. But sucks he died so young, RIP and everything..yes.
I saw him in Sept. Even told my husband that I would leave him for Danny Gans. To wake up to a different man every day of the week must have been entertaining! He will be missed...
Saw him twice - last time was in September when returning to Las Vegas with friends- Heard he was leaving the Mirage and felt they should see him and enjoy the show as much as I did the first time..He was a great performer and sadly will be missed by all
Elvis Presley was the only entertainer I ever saw in Vegas. Wayne Newton is a huge Vegas star, never saw him, nor did I see Danny Gans. From what I have seen, he was a much beloved entertainer. Las Vegas is going through the recession also, and Gans' death is going to be a huge blow to the industry.
I understand he was a devoted husband and father, and my good wishes go out to his family.
Had tickets to watch his show this month. Just found out about his death while driving down the strip and seeing the sign on wynn resort. Rip Danny you will be missed
Never wait to do the things you want to do, because tomorrow is not promised. I longed to see this entertainer in Vegas, and have been there three times. This is a huge loss of a very talented soul. Would love to see the heavenly show. R.I.P you touched so many people with your invaluable gift.
I question why this is not on the news more?? My local paper in Tacoma did not even have a brief about it. Nothing at all. When Sigfreid & Roy were attacked my tigers it was ALL over the news. Danny Gans was the #1 act in Las Vegas, and I personally loved his show. He will be missed. Any Danny Gans conspiracy theories out there? It seems mysterious.
Danny Gans suddenly dies at age 52, in the prime of his life. Those who know him say he was healthy as an ox. He regularly exercised and ate healthy. I find that really scary. We're all hanging by a thread. I hope there is a finding that he had a genetic heart malformation, or that he took drugs or something. Just so that this makes some sense and doesn't rub it into our faces that any of us can drop dead at any time.
richmond436 and legalman1980, there are some good meds out there for you. How can you say something about a person you don't know? His show was not about putting down performers. maybe you both should look deep inside yourselves, maybe you both have a problem to deal with. Good luck on your search for mental health. To Gan's family , friends, and fans Rip and he will be missed

I agree with richmond436: How dare Gans dress up like the great blind black singer and musician Stevie Wonder and make fun of his handicap. Payback's a killer. This hack wished he had one iota of talent that Frank Sinatra & Sammy Davis Jr. had.
R.I.H. (Rot in hell) Gans. Let's see how good your impression is of The Devil.
I never saw the man perform, but millions of others did, and if he was a racist he would have been sniffed out long ago. God knows who the evil ones are, your comments make you the prime suspect. Have a nice day enjoy your crummy life.
haha! what an idiot. His impressions are tributes. Stevie Wonder has a great sense of humor, and even Eddie Murphy has done impressions on SNL. Stevie was on the show with him having fun. Lighten up Church Lady wanna be! You have a problem with processing information. RIP Danny Gans...you did a lot for everyone. God Bless to his family and friends.
It's weird how we often don't know much about a person until they are gone. In February, Gans was playing in a PGA celeb. pro-am tournament, and I didn't understand who the heck he was. Today, I have learned enough to conclude that he was definitely an act to see in Vegas. I missed out.
I live in vegas, we saw him way back when his was at the rio it was an excellent show this town is going to miss him much he was part of everyones family here. Our prayers go out to his family.
Life taken so suddenly, much too soon. I had never heard of Mr. Gans until today, but from what I see from these clips, a true genius, a gifted performer. The loss is so tragic for his loved ones. RIP...
They really keep this guy in the dark for video, interviews, You Tube, etc.. He'd get more people coming if he did more publicity. I've never seen him, I might if I saw more of this old footage.
In case anybody asks, the song he's doing at the beginning of the video is "Jam" by MJ.

Agreed; sorry the guy died, but this stuff is totally average -- not like Rich Little or some of the really talented impersonators.
