  • Do you know where I can find the white body version for this either online or for Canada?

  • say i wanted to buy a fisheye for this camera will i be able to put it on and if so what mm size would i have to get?

  • Which should I buy based on having the better image quality, the EP1 or new EPL1 (I know they have the same sensor etc but they have different image stabilisers)

  • bella cámara...

  • I am trying to find this. Does anybody know where i can purchase this in Canada?

  • best buy and if you are in Toronto at Vistek. Hard to find the white one though. I think it was special edition.

  • I just got one at Vistek in Calgary :) very nice camera, can't wait to use it!

  • @StephTwitsandTubes

the shopping channel has a great deal on this camera this month.

  • lol those teddys have What Digital Camera Mags! (I think o.O)

  • is the camera compatible with old manual lenses

  • @dieraupe2 all of them, but it's not convenient. A standard lens (50mm) becomes a telephoto (100mm).

  • @dieraupe2 you can get lens adapters for almost any lens.

  • how many stops does the IS give you?

  • your right hand is annoying!!! lol

i paid more attention to your hand than you speaking

  • Great video! However maybe do a review on some better microphones, this sound sucks

  • between Olympus EP1 and Panasonic GF1, which one is a better choice?

  • EP1

  • i've read alot of reviews and people are edging towards the GF1.... but i dont care im still getting the EP1 lol

  • I would said wait for the next model coming out to fix those issue plus is a bit pricey.

  • what's the video compression for this camera?

  • audio is horrible but beautiful camera

  • The backs its the best part of the camera.

The lack of a view finder is a killer though.

  • I use it next to my Canon 5D and it's a great 2nd cam. I can't wait for more micro 43 lenses to get released.

  • Cup tea?

  • Guys what happen to the audio???? same audio was in the nikon s1000j video as well.

There a lot of noise and it seems mono too.

YOu lost your boom mic or something????

  • Yup, our wireless mics died - all fixed now though, so expect a return to full quality sound soon

  • Was acctually going to buy this as a point and shoot for along side my work kit. I really like the look of it and the high ISO etc(it's the only compact I would concider) but as soon as he mentioned the fact that there is no optical viewfinder... i'm out.

  • IMO I think this is a great second camera(DSLR) I would never use a rangefinder for real work, or any micro 4/3rs. i think this is more of a niche product. expect not to see many of these!!

  • shit sound

  • sound is terrible and this guy needs to speak up

  • There are a few problems with the sound - video camera was faulty. Hopefully you can still hear it, the next video will be back to normal, we promise

  • are you shooting with the mark II ?

  • okay I was wondering... You guys are around some of the Greatest equipment in the world :P

  • Do you suggest me get that over the T1i?

  • I figure you'd be getting it for the HD video mode then right? While the EP-1 is a nice idea (interchangeable lenses on a smaller camera) it doesn't go up to full 1080p HD and is limited to 7 minute clips in 720p. The T1i can shoot full 1080p video for I think 59 minutes. I thought that the EP-1 would have no time restraints like any other non-SLR.

On the still image side, the T1i clearly wins in noise. At 800 ISO on the EP-1 it's just horrendous.

Hope I helped, I'll be happy to answer more.

  • @green4strings

I've used the T1i a bit and althought it shoots in 1080p it is at a pretty lame framerate and looks rather choppy. But your right about the high ISO performance. The T1i's high ISO performance is superb.

  • yeah, i agree on the choppiness.

  • this is a slr camera...

  • it has the interchagable lenses like the slr, but that's as far as it goes. i think it's all up for dispute. but with out the mirror, i'm leaning towards not.

  • ohh i didnt know it didnt have the mirror.. i think thats what makes it a slr.. so maybe its not..

  • yup, it's straight from the lens to the sensor. just like a regular P&S camera.

  • the Canon T1i in my opinion has better video quality :]
