it might be just me, but i see NO entertainment value in these types of music games, i mean all you do in hanenbow is press a bunch of buttons and a fish says some non-understandable dialouge or a blue light changes direction to make a slightly different sound. can someone PLEASE tell me what the entertainment value of this game is supposed to be?
First it's the learning I enjoy. I like becoming familiar with the mechanics. This is done by pushing all the buttons and touching stuff to see what parameters are changed. Then I enjoy making subtle changes. Once I've done this for a while, I feel a flow.
I will say that it is hard for me to start playing a game like this, but I have to be interupted to stop. It's mesmerizing.
the cost of this game is also increased due to the release of Yamaha's instrument, the "Tenori-On," which was developed by Toshio Iwai(electroplankton creator). the Tenori-On is a wonderful instrument & if you've yet to see it, look up some videos on it, it's quite fascinating!
I have this game, and it is pretty fun, but the price is going to keep going up so it would be a good investment[for on ebay]. unless Nintendo makes a sequel or something
I've uploaded a few Electroplankton songs to youtube myself. But it is tedious to come up with something cool just as you're heading off to bed and not having the ability to just save it unless I were to get up, connect it to a computer while videotape it. Hassle.
all of u people who care about the spelling need to get a life! youtube is about the VIDOES!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! forget the spelling mistakes, and keep it to your self!omg, this is youTUBE(refering to televisoin tubes)NOT you SPELL!!!!!!!!omgend of the Spelling controversy you both stink!
ps.(incase you still care, sorry for the spelling mistakes...)GGGGGGGGRRRRRRRRRRRR!!!
That doesn't mean that people should neglect proper spelling and grammar.
If we followed your logic, comments wouldn't be made at all; we'd all be making videos every time one of us wanted to say something in relation to the video (relevant or not).
Back on topic...so this game is supposed to be one of those "Experimental" titles where there is no real objective?
lldexterity, there is indeed no 'real objective'. In the 'beginning' all the Electroplankton are already available, no need to play to unlock them. I suppose the only goal is to get good at it to the point where you're not just making random sounds.
I have this on my 3DS but I can only play the version that's at 0:20.

Sadly its $130 for a new game.
For the US they made a limited amount, which I think is stupid.
This is probably only game for the DS that I actually WANT!

Ha! I bought mine when it came out and it cost me 50 bucks! I live in the U.S. It's perfectly easy to get this game.

Not for composers. There is no way to save what you make and everything is somewhat...random.
Still fun though!
