With a 52 reissue and a Peavey classic I was expecting a more "gritty" blues. Come on, they were made for it! Too smooth for my liking but nice playing nevertheless.
Nice fat and husky - just how I like it! Picked up a Peavey Studio Pro 112 on ebay a few weeks ago and it is really sweet amp clean. So now I'm after a 20 or 30 tube for a warmer jazz sound. Oh yeah - nice licks, man.
Great tone, Is this a direct recording from amp? Did you used a recording software and add echo/reverb effects on the final mixing of the recording? Thanks.
Yes, I miced the amp directly to computer. Software used was Sony Vegas. I don't remember if the reverb is only from Peavey Classic 30 or if I added on Sony Vegas. Probably is the "small room" reverb from Sony Vegas.
I have been agonizing over the BJ/Classic 30 dilemma. This vid sure helped but how is loud bedroom level tone? Does it need to be pushed to sound this good?
... have watched and listened to loads of guitarists and valve amps over the past couple of weeks and this is one of the best demos musically and tonally... nice playing and nice amp.
I love your tone - I really do! I've got 2 peavy classic 30's on their way and as soon as they arrive I am going to listen to yer playin again for some inspiration - great tone and great playin!
@BluesZep hey , tried the C30 this weekend . I had almost the same tone than this video , on my Lindy fralin 54's-equipped american standard strat and the help of a compressor , perhaps .
Sounded so good , i think i'll grab one . Especially , it can do a lot of things pretty well if you use some good pedals with it .
I'm having a difficult time deciding which combination of your's that I like the best. The 335 and Les Paul with the Classic 30sound great, but your Tele sounds just awesome.
I have had a couple of Classic 30s but sold them. You have just about sold me on correcting my mistake.
By the way, your demos are some of my favorite demos on YouTube. Keep 'em coming..
Hey Blueszep... I just ordered one of these 52 RI Teles. I'm exited! I can't wait to get it. Do you still have yours? I hope so. Yours sounds great! : )
Nice expressive style and tone. Any particular make and guage of strings you use on the tele? And do you roll off the guitar tone knob much? What do you generally do for mic placement? Thanks
I use Ernie Ball or GHS .010 strings. I roll the volume and tone knobs to get different tones, but usually they are all open. Mic pointed to center of speaker.
A real nice sounding amp,a shame it's so high priced here in Brazil.Think will build one exactly the same ,must cost a bit less!!Love this guitar too,a real "play everything guitar"not only a country music instrument as people use to say!Nice jamming too i like your stile!
Some people tell me that the telecaster is not a good guitar because it had only two single coil , so it has no power to play rock or metal. But man screw al of them this guitar sound amazing and is really a good looking guitar. I want one.
and this guitar does rock and even metal pretty well ... this is a very inspiring guitar , some of them are cheap and still are awesome , i recommend everyone to get one =D
@edhilerio1807 Those people don't know what they're talking about. TONS of great players play teles. You can check out one of the several deluxe telecasters, they come with a strat middle pickup. I personally prefer the tele bridge pickup to the strat bridge pickup actually, and I'm a strat guy.
E aí véio! Blz? Não tinha visto esse ainda, ficou massa! Tem pouca coisa no you tube onde se pode ver o som do classic 30, gravou esse como, microfonou ou é mic de aparelho digital? Abraço!
Classy, soulful playing. Thumbs up!

Dá pra tocar com o classic 30 num lugar fechado, de uns 30 metros quadrados??
E o volume?
Dá pra botar tudo no mæaximo, sem saturar o canal limpo e sem danificar o ampli?

How does this amp sound with the master cranked? Does it have a nice warm power tube fuzz/crunch?
Have you every compared it to a Fender Blues JR?
Regards,
Stang
StangLX718 1 year ago
@StangLX718
Thanks, bro. I'm really glad you enjoyed.
Regarding Classic 30, I love this amp. It has a great sound with master crancked, but it's very loud.
Comparing it with Fender BJ, I'd say it has a warmer sound and more midrange.
