  • This was really helpful thank you

  • @BlickVideos where could you get the tool you use to cut the clay? And is there a name for the tool? Please respond, thank you!!!

  • @PeaceLoveDuctTape100 All the tools and products in this video are from Blick Art Materials. The cutting tool used here is called a Super Slicer. Please go to the Blick website and enter item number 34208-1002 for more information or to purchase.

  • how do you get that shine on the finished bead?

    What product do you use?

  • @peace2570 For an extra lustrous finish, there is a product called Sculpey Glaze that we sell at Blick. You can find it on our website dickblick . com / products / sculpey-glaze.

  • Nobody would want to make that. 아휴.

  • do you bake the cane and then slice it? or do you just slice it? Thanks for your help!!

  • @cookies12312 slice the clay first before you bake it. Once it is baked it is very hard.

  • @decodenprincess that's an option. It will still work

  • Thank you, very helpful, but at the end how do you do the checker board thing? I hate to be a bother but you didn't show that :S thanks for your videos :)

  • @iloveMusic4408 All you would have to do for that is take long strips of what ever colour you are using (in this case white and black) and lay them length ways down the "jelly roll"

  • I thought you had to bake it first for 5 minutes?

  • where do you buy it?

  • @bonnafofanna26 Blick Art Materials is an online art supply retailer. We also have 34 stores in the U.S. Our web address is: dickblick . com. Thanks

  • I have been looking for a video like this. Thanks! :)

  • you know, they use this cane thingy for candy

  • YOUR VIDEOS ARE AMAZING

I LIVE IN ASIA AND I CAN NOT FIND POLYMER CLAY AT ANY STATIONERS

COULD U GUIDE ME THAT AT WHAT SORT OF PLACE WILL I FIND THEM

I HAVE BEEN USING COLD PORCELAIN BUT WHEN THEY DRY , THEY OFTEN HAVE CRACKS

HOW TO DEAL WITH THAT NOW

  • @SHUKZ13 Blick Art Materials sells and ships internationally. Check out our website at dickblick. com.

  • @BlickVideos

    so confused among thoes choices

which one is more preferable for making charms and caness

  • @SHUKZ13 Sculpey III and Premo Sculpey come in a wide range of colors and are great for caning and making charms.

  • very detail

  • After your done making it how long do you keep it in the freezer and after u have taken it out and used it and have some left do u keep in the the freezer/fridge for until u need it or just keep it somewhere and freeze it when u need it?

  • @lpsfriends The point of refrigerating your cane (not freezing) is to make it just a little bit more firm while working with it. Certain techniques require the polymer clay to be very soft while other techniques are easier if the clay is just a little bit more firm. You would place the cane in the refridgerator just long enough for it to reach the consistency that works for you. Since every refrigerator is a different temperature there is no set time for this.

  • @BlickVideos do you bake it and if so how long i need full details

  • @TheBigguy500 Many of the Sculpey products bake at 275°F (130°C) for 15 minutes per ¼" (6 mm) of thickness. You can find all the Sculpey products and read the details for each at: dickblick . com / brands / sculpey / or contact our Product Information team who can help with any questions at: info @ dickblick . com.

  • @BlickVideos THAT WAS VERY HELPFUN INFO ILL NEED TO SAVE UR COMMENT thank you so much

  • @BlickVideos thank you

  • Hey, can I possibly make a poker chip cane? (:

  • @cupcakesrule102 Yeah it is :)

  • OMG! they look almost like factary made!! you have such good techniques! I like really fail at making the canes.

  • Oh this is a cool technique thanks ! :D

  • What I was wondering is this.. could I use a deli-slicer (dedicated to polymer clay of course) to cut this clay in to SUPER thin slices?? Has that been tried? I already envision COUNTLESS possibilities doing this. But I'm not sure if the cuts would be clean enough.. and deli-slicers are pretty expensive.. =(

  • @TheBroodingTom You may want to contact our Product Information experts at info @ dickblick . com - or call them toll free at 1-800-933-2542. They can talk through ideas with you and get you answers to your more technical questions. I know we have many polymer artists on our staff who can help!

  • @BlickVideos wher do you buy them?

  • @Meandmyvideos18 Hello - we are an art materials retailer so all the products in our videos are available on our website dickblick . com.

  • I love this!! I was wondering something. A while back I discovered a new way to to do stop-animation using a polymer clay, by slicing it into thin sections, then taking a picture of each slice.. what happened was I got actual fluid-like motion on film!! I only did this once and I plan on doing it again..

  • what if you don'y have a pasta machine?

  • @allypink99 You can use a hand roller - anything from a lucite roller to a rolling pin or dowel will work!

  • It's not just a sharp blade. It's her VERY sharp blade.

  • Canes?

  • i use paper cause im way to old to hold blades besides the paper works perfectlly

  • Just found this channel. I am new to Polymer Clay and bought a couple of books - but this is really great. Thanks soo much for doing these instruction videos. They are very helpful. Helen

  • Could you possibly post Fruit Cane videos : D?

  • If you don't mind me asking, but what brand is that Pasta machine? I'm trying to find one that works good. Thanks :)

  • @xXAnimeBriXx I am not certain of the exact brand of pasta machine used here but it looks very similar to the Amaco Pasta Machine that we carry on our Blick website. You can see it by going to dickblick . com/ products / amaco-pasta- machine /.

  • @xXAnimeBriXx Thankyou :)!

  • Why is the website called dickblick?

  • @Oscar307975 That is a good question! The name sounds funny, I know, but Dick Blick is actually the name of the person who founded the company back in 1911. He started by selling a few items through a catalog and shipping from his home. Over the past 100 years the company has developed into the premier supplier of art materials in the U.S. All the materials you see in our videos (we have over 60,000 items in our assortment) are all available on our website at dick blick. com.

  • I was looking everywhere for a leaf cane tutorial . Your's is very simple and i can't wit to make mine . Thank you so very much .

  • I love watching people making these but I know I wouldn`t have the patience to do it myself! :D

  • All I can say is THANK You! Not yelling just SO doggone happy to FINALLY get a simple easy to follow vid. I've been playing around with pc to make unique earrings, but haven't found anything as easy as this to follow. The artist is exceptionally easy to follow. Thank you thank you thank you.

  • @shooaholic We are happy to hear this video was useful! Thanks!

  • do u bake after

  • @lilmizzpRnB Yes - once your piece is created, follow the baking directions. This is harden the clay and make it durable and long lasting.

  • Thats pretty epic :3

  • I find the polymer clay videos really interesting and informative, because I've been thinking about getting into using it myself. Thank you. c:

  • thanks for sharing
