Joe Paterno did the legal minimum, but not what he is required to do, morally, especially given that he claims to be a lifelong Catholic. Furthermore, he did not follow up on his report to his immediate superior. Penn State’s administrators did not report to the police and nothing was done about stopping Sandusky from abusing more victims. Paterno may be exonerated by the law (which is an open matter), but he’s got lots to answer to to God. Joe can rot in hell, that SOB.
