In the last week i started mma im 15 years old and everyone with me or in my group is 20 or older but after my first practise i was doing front kick then a crunch on the same leg with a partner and we kept doing it in this order : 1,1,2,2,3,3,4,4,5,5...10 back down then other leg and after that practice i really enjoyed it but now my legs are killing me not trying to be a pussy but i could barely walk for about a day its been 2 now and still hurts gotta practice tommorow is this normal.?

3. Do not train "MMA". NONE of the champs became champs by training "MMA". It is a rule set- not an art. Do not be a jack of all trades, master of none. Pick an art, excel in it and branch out. Be it Muay THai, Boxing, Wrestling, BJJ, etc.
Well said man, I'm an instructor for a Grappling club in my town and you wouldn't believe the number of posers and wannabe tough guys I see come and go. They always leave, because they don't have the one thing you forgot to add to your list: Heart. To be good in any art or fighting style you need the heart to keep moving forward. Many just want to sound or look tough by doing it, but they always quit because they don't have the right mental aptitude for the sport.
calling training for MMA "doing UFC" is actually so demeaning and so shallow in scope, it makes you look like a poser, a wannabe, and worse, someone with no knowledge of the sport. The SPORT is MMA, NOT "UFC". No one says "I'm training NBA" if they want to be pro basketball players. They say "I am playing basketball."
2. Get your ass in the gym and train. Watch your nutrition, and your recovery. Do not tell the world you're going to be this and that. No one gives a fuck.
