  • the bird is cute.

  • I'm assuming this is the same type of technique that Clever Hans the horse was taught. Which is basically to keep counting (whistling) until the audience reacts, in this case the person holding the camera would start talking.

  • @odnam92 Nope. But that's a popular guess.

  • your voice is recorded afterwards in order to match it up with the gaps in the whistles. Sylvester the Talking Kitty's videos are done that way, as well as the cat's meows being replaced by dialogue. i noticed the "look this way" line right before Peaches looked at the camera, and variations of that are in the kitty videos as well, where the creator asks Sylvester to sit down right before he does.

  • @almightycinder Nope. That was one take and not so complicated. Good try, and interesting. But no.

  • LOL! when u asked 3+1 0:14 it was like

Bird: ooooone, twooooo, threeeee, ummmmm.....(a sudden pause to think) fooooour.

    It adorable!

  • @TJD005 - - Love that Peach!

  • You can hear the clicker just before the bird whistles each time. A common trick. Cute bird and bit though.

  • @nintendomanx Hello! Good guess, but she kind of makes an inhale noise before she whistles. I like that out of all the guesses, yours was original. One guess nearly hit it dead on!

  • awe how cute! i used to have a cockatiel named peaches as well, though she passed away 2 yrs ago :'(

  • So cute peaches

  • u can make a good lunch from it!,na im kidding

  • @TheHomedog24 My hubby is always trying to think of ways to cook her...Lol

  • I imagine the bird is just whistling at a steady rate, and waiting for a response from the owner instead of actually doing the math.

  • @astropanda19 No. But that is the most popular guess. Not a bad one.

  • overdubbed huh

  • @kuchesezik Nope.

  • She probbably has a mirror or something off camera that the bird is interested in, that causes her whistle every time she see's it.

  • @chriswww hmmmm. Impressive answer.

  • @Megtunes Hardly.

  • @AwesomeLenalee15 She's pretty funny, isn't she?

  • @AwesomeLenalee15 Peaches writes her own material. I taught her nothing actually.

  • Seh's commanding...

  • WHOA

  • she's smart and cute! <3

  • That's fake. U r holding a treat up and down and she is whistling to it. Sorry

  • @CheesePoodles Good guess. But nope!

  • That little whistle at :47 made me burst out laughing. That was a cute little whistle

  • @mitzvahagogo You must mean her wiggly little whistle at the square root of 16. That cracked me up. Thanks!

  • Wow!

  • Peaches is awesome. That is the sweetest little face and the sweetest little voice!

  • @holmeyer Awwwww. Thanks! :)

  • NICE BIRD

  • my cockatieldied

  • Wow what a coincidence. My pet cockatiel looks JUST like yours. =3

  • Great Bird

  • LOVE THEM

hands up if u love cockatiels

  • i have fell in love with cockatiels =)

  • @gogogetter Li'l P loves you too!

  • @Megtunes i hope so! cant wait to get one of my own. are they easy to take care of?

  • @gogogetter They are really social so they should be out of their cage for a good hour

1 &1/2 hours a day. But easy, yes.

  • @Megtunes you're retarded... what bird doesn;t know that????

    \

  • @kalikala06 LOL!

  • I love parrots I want one.

  • I like the end when you say PEACH out instead of peace out!!!!

  • @moshipug9 ar-ar!

  • I miss my cockatiel.

  • Adorible!!

  • i remember that i had a bird and it bit my lip and tried to kill me :D

  • lol, cute

  • Peaches looks just like my tiel,Otis

  • That cockatiel is adorable.

  • I miss my cockatiel :{

  • @TitanicLove1501 **arm around shoulder**

  • ...did his voice crack?

  • @TheStardust12 I guess it was "time to chaaange." (Brady bunch reference)

  • She held up her fingers. She has taught her to whistle once for each finger.

  • @hului11 I refer you to the video "Cockatiel answers math questions part 2 (higher level)"

    Peaches takes on multiplication. Really!

  • shes smart how do you teach parrots to do that

  • Can anyone tell me how to stop cockatiels from laying eggs. I'm getting my male a mate but i'm really worried about the stress of eggs ... First i'd rather prevent it.. THEN... what if it is unfertilized? Will they be sad? What if it breaks? I'm so worried but i'm going to get the female anyway because I feel my cockatiel is a bit lonely and also I want to take this female away from her current home where she's always cooped up in the cage

  • @SK1081984 Try looking up under your region's Parrot Society. You can maybe do a few things to hinder egg laying- the best is to not really have any nooks and crannies that she goes to or "bond" with. If there's a nice boy around that could be pretty tough, tho. Maybe you could talk to a pet store that has a lot of birds for sale, with appropriate number of birds in each cage, hand fed etc and ask them what to do. Good "luck!"

  • Can Peaches tell us all the numbers of π?

  • @waytopolyglot She can, but it would take a very long time. There's lots of pi in these comments. Did you see her higher math video?

  • @Megtunes If she can, then that bird is smarter than everyone on the earth.

  • is the bird cute yes but it's quite obvious you gave signals to the bird, anyways my birds can do the same it's not hard, but mine can actually say the numbers.

  • @Edsonv09 Peaches wants to SEE!

  • What a cute trick! I love tiels!

  • i have the same bird ilike it but not with the sound ya... hes dead sooo sad

  • u give her had signals

  • her brain got switched with Albert Einstiens brain

  • @2345Pikachu Peaches did study at Oxford University and graduated with a degree in particle physics and received the prestigious Rolf Wideroe award for her work in particle acceleration with a concentration in non-linearities and resonances. No kidding!

  • @Megtunes wow....XD!

  • I have a 23 year old cockatiel, he used to be pretty smart back in his day, too!

  • i would give peaches an F for having its master give it all the answers! :O

  • Haha cute but ur cueing her to make those whistles

  • thats it, im buying a tiel instead of a calculator for my maths exam

  • @sertacguler LOL! That's a good one . :)

  • teaching jingle to do that

  • 1:01 ugh ya i give up what was the question again ^_^

  • OMG!!!! peaches looks ALMOST EXACTLY like my pird Otis

  • @GraceTopaz14 Otis must be a-dor-able!

  • My cockatiel looks alot like yours. What do you call the yellow colored cockatiels with the black accents?

  • @remelsheikh I know there's several types of cockatiel, but I'm not sure what kind "Li'l P." is. (Besides cute.)

  • @Megtunes peaches is a Pied Cockatiel.

  • @nightengaleprincess I have a whitefaced pied cockatiel named Tiki. He talks and whistles. He says pretty girl ( thought he was a female) He calls the cat , Smoky Smokysmoke . No kittys, Pretty baby .

  • @remelsheikh latino cockatiels

  • @remelsheikh Pied

  • I just put my beloved female cockatiel of 15 yrs to sleep. Lemon. She was found on the street, and she was very intelligent. I had a collage 4 bird faces, one of them her own. The collage had fallen into a crawl space where she started nibbling as to make a nest. She nibbled every single photo except her very own.

  • @40gabe Oh, how sad. What an amazing story. She left that picture for you!

  • @Megtunes Yeah. It's on my wall. She left all the other bird faces intact but chewed around them. Her photo, untouched. She was such a sweet bird. The last few days we had together she would sleep in bed for hours with me, underneath my chin, squeaking, squawking, and nibbling. My favorite part of the day was coming home and hearing her. I am so brokenhearted and miss her so much, but at least I had all those wonderful years.

  • She knows more about Paul Revere than my little brother...

  • i tried to teach my tail happy birthday and jingle bells but she mixed both of them together so it sounded WEIRD a mix of both songs...

  • @Barknoor I think that is so funny! Peach does the same with her fave 2 songs. She mixes the Adams family with a classical symphony!

  • @Megtunes haha cool combination! shes got a taste in music!

  • Mine doesn't sing or walk around the house like he used to anymore =/

  • She looks like my Mochi :3

  • clever peaches effect!

  • how do you make your bird sing

  • my cockatiel can sing slipknot :L

  • I LOVE HIM SO CUTE !!!!!!!!!!! AWWW ^_^

  • That was so awesome, my bird dosint even sing anymore, he used to sing the zelda song, star wars and make beeping noises, he just hushed and never sung again, im taking him to my bird expert to make sure he isnt sick or depressed

  • @SilverShadowDarkness Sure hope he's ok.

  • @SilverShadowDarkness so. its been 4 years. i want to know, does he sing now? :)

  • @LostWithoutAllah Peaches has two favorite songs. The famous symphony and the Adams Family theme which she like to sing to condiments. Yes. Look up her condiment concertos.

  • @Megtunes oh no I meant silvershadow lol...peaches is adorable btw.

  • Cool birdy

  • i had a cockatoo who looked just like him in the face but he was all white noy grey he recently flew into a mirror and passed away :( he was only a year old but im getting a new Quaker parrot for christmas :D

  • it just sounds like whistling everytime...

  • Thats the most amazing bird I used to have a bird like that but sadly he flew away because he knew how to open his cage :( Your bird reminds me of him

  • @Clos111888 So sorry to hear that he flew away. I pray that I don't accidentally ever let her out!

  • @Clos111888 i found one that flew away

  • @keeplisted Lucky you!

  • that is so cute! what is 3 plus 1? she sings 4! aww i wish my bird did that!

  • @Tyler10on11 Love that Birdie!

  • @Megtunes

I don't buy this video I bet you just trained him to give a couple of answers to math answers without having the bird to think! lame

  • @Boss5414 More likely the bird's responding to off-camera cues for how many times he has to whistle. Cute trick, though.

  • @ZigZagnut357 I think its actually not moving off cam because its eyes cant look directly front.

  • This is adorable!

  • I don't even know the answer , smart bid

  • awww that's pretty awesome I have a cockateil to and all he says is pretty bird and he whistles and bobs his head

  • the bird just keeps making sounds until you say good job and then she stops.

  • awwww adorible!

  • you probably filmed it first and added your voice afterwards

  • @Riptaliator Nay. Or should I say tweet.

  • Hes wrong 3+1 does not = 4....lmao

  • @dragon6241990 yes yes it does :P

  • I do not care if this was a trick or something. This bird is incredible sweet!!! :)

  • What a cutie! "Peach Out" LOL!

  • cool

  • Clever Hans effect in action.

  • @anthropoceneman A clever guess and the second reference to Hans. There's a trick but that's not it. 2 people have come quite close. Hint: I didn't teach P anything.

  • :D smart birdy :3 altho i know somehow u getting those answers out of peaches's head :P

  • @pencilluna10 Yeah..... something!

  • Math sucks. *walks away*

  • you gave it a treat in the air or something and it wants it so it whistles how ever many times you hold it up duh

  • Respond to this video... Again, you must check out the Peaches does math part 2 video. It's the related video attached to this one.

  • the sound is the same to me lol

  • @29Essan ...the Sound of Muuuuusic!

  • @Megtunes

lol. I have two but they're not tame. i wish i can take them out and pet them and stuff. if i do they bite

  • @29Essan I don't know if this is true, but I hear that 2 cockatiels bond to each other whereas ours has bonded to us. We're her fellow birds, according to her!

  • @Megtunes

your right, they like each other and like us, but not to the point of touching or petting them. im looking for a tame one. :)

  • @Megtunes

your right, they like each other and like us, but not to the point of touching or petting them. im looking for a tame one. :)

  • @Megtunes

your right i hear the same thing

  • ^.^ Oh my god, so cute! And seriously, that was downright amazing!

  • LOL I XDED SOOOOOO HARD AT THIS cute bird tho

  • awww your bird is absolutely beautiful she's just so precious

  • Beautiful bird, truly : D

  • people train this with their dogs too, they teach them to chirp until you interupt. i can tell because at the end of the first question you waited barely 1 second for him to chirp again. its fake. i hate to be a troll but... FAAAAAAAAAKE!!!!

  • @gottaluvbirds Your analysis is the most common guess. But, alas... that's not the secret. Only two people have guessed sort of close to the answer.

  • @Megtunes Also, if you're not a believer check out "the math art 2" video that's a response to this video!

  • @Megtunes its prerecorded and you just added your voice over it... that wasn't hard to figure out.

  • @HikaruYamamoto Nope. That's not the secret. It is an original guess tho' and I applaud you for your creativity.

  • dude this is really good and can i say ignore those who say this is fake u know they are just jealous or something i say i liked this.

  • @MrZohan999 You go Zohan!

  • @Megtunes thanks if u dont mind call me shadow

  • @MrZohan999 Rock on Shadow!

  • @MrZohan999 Go Zohan!

  • @McLoveMuffin thank you my friend

  • i don't ge t y wont he say numbers

  • @megtunes it really is!! and mines a cockatiel too!!

  • my birds name is peaches :)

  • @MyLifeAtSchoolAUS An excellent choice, I must say.

  • LOL at 15 squared minus 225. I think most animals are taught to answer that

  • this is so fake...

you can just wait until he chirped the correct amount of times and then u start talkin to prevent further chirping

or you edited your talking in after the video was made and matched the questions to the random chirps he makes

OR you manipulate him. you trained him to chirp when you make a certain gesture and then you make that gesture for example 4 times when 4s the answer A BIRD CANNOT UNDERSTAND HUMAN LANGUAGE

the sad thing is you wont even admit it after ppl pointed it out

  • @TerribleWindshield Nope. I did seriously teach Peaches nothing! And there's No editing. I admit it looks like I cut her off after the proper amount of time and a lot of people thought that was the secret. But no. Only two people have been pretty darn close. No training. And whatever happened to your windshield??

  • @Megtunes

she gives answer 4 for every question..

  • @Megtunes I think i've figured it out, your bird does a sound when you make a certain gesture, I could tell because the bird looked up as if he was looking at your hand or something, and when u stop he stops making the noise

  • You're just jealous that Peaches is smarter than you!

  • thats so cute!

  • u cant even understand the bird but i really thought that was cute:):)

  • @yusuf2613 what's to understand? she whistles the amount of times that is the answer. Boy, now I feel a lot smarter lol

  • peaches is so so coot
