  • What distorsion did you use?

  • Do you still have the Guitar pro file ? If so could I have It?

  • What effect do you use??

  • 黒霧島!!

    Anyway great playing

  • what effect do you use?

  • Hahahahah I had to tune DGDG to get the correct sound .

  • thankx for the MP3 dude :)

    Awesome cover..

  • Check out my Mashup between Helsinki Jam & Supermassive Black Hole... you won't regret it!!

    /watch?v=l8_aYMN8NY8

  • Hey man, big muff? That's it or something else too?

  • That is one mean sounding bass.

  • This is why I play the bass guitar

  • .com/watch?v=Tra3A2pkZOI&feature=player_embedded

Now theres a flawless cover of me on bass and my drummer at a local gig

  • @MrSamsung913 No way can you play this as your first bass song. Try something easy and work your way up to this.

  • Why is no one adding the slide that should be at around 0:28 :(! It makes it so much more awesome. Nonetheless, this cover is very good.

  • @deadredmonkey I'm not saying he would need to use guitar pro, I'm just saying it sounds EXACTLY the same as the rse bass with a big muff pi on it in guitar pro. Plus the fact hes not using any hamers or pulls throught the whole track and thats what most of the notes are played as.

  • O.O

I have never ever even tuched a bass before

But when I m gonna buy one (sometime in the future) this is the first song im gonna learn!!!!!!

  • @deadredmonkey I know its not hard, its actually piss easy. As soon as I get my mixer and mic I'll upload a version, if that will please you...?

  • @deadredmonkey I've been playing for a while now, about 5 months :P i'm progressing quite fast though, i can play some decently hard songs such as 3's and 7's by Queens of the Stone Age and Bliss by Muse.

  • @deadredmonkey It seems so impossible, i may have to use a pick for this song :L

  • Okay, how are you moving your fingers that fast, i can't physically do it... Any tips would be highly appreciated :)

    Kind regards

    Danny

  • maybe it's just me, I play guitar, but that doesn't look like it's hard to play

  • Gracias hombre... Thanks men... grazie

  • Ultimate Guitar dot com. Look up bands - Muse, then Helsinki Bass Jam.

  • @rfbsquared or, you know, you could always check the description

  • @JorgeyPorgieBoy611: Or you can, you know, lick my balls esse'.

  • @JorgeyPorgieBoy611 :Or lick my balls esse.

  • SAME BASS! sorry, had to sayit, only my neck's made of a different coloured wood. where can i get the tabs?

  • @OriJami look at the description

  • @JorgeyPorgieBoy611 yeh, sorry, noticed the moment after i asked... (feels dumb right now, sorry about that)

  • What are you using to get that tone?

  • @Gillyop52 Guitar pro. I'm 99.9% hes not actually playing that.

  • Those GP5 RSE drums...

  • qualcuno dovrebbe spiegarti come si suona

  • I've seen more expression from the back of my knee cap.

Let's at least see some passion if you're going unoriginal material.

  • hey i downloaded the pdf file and it said octave shift at one point. is that an octave up or octave down?

  • omg

    "i love guitar pro"

  • omg shit i love you.

  • this is really great

    keep rocking

(is the backtrack guitar pro? just ask)

  • prettydamncool!

  • Hey man :)

What pedals and effects are you using to get that tone? :)

  • Nice work! Not sure I like the tone all that much, but your playing is immaculate. Thumbs up!

  • Someone shoot the drummer

  • Love the cover :) but chicken dance at 0:32 anyone??

  • What Bass Guitar Do You Have ?

  • how did u get the distortion sound? what setting and pedal? also what octave do you use? +1 or -1

  • This is the best cover of Helsinki jam that I've seen so far ;)

  • I have gotta learn this! This is great!

  • You look like my Fallout 3 character.......

  • awesome track and well played mate !!

  • Yeeeeeaaah Man ! You Rock !

  • Dude you have to do the Osaka Jam now! :P please???

  • nice job! i covered this with my friend for a talent show we had at school. check it out on my channel.

  • This is awesome!

But where did you get the non-live background music?

  • Really nice man, thanks for the tabs too, I've been meaning to give this jam a proper go

  • That sound is beautiful, I need to get some new gear, I actually play bass with a guitar amp, pretty ghetto huh? If I use the overdrive on the amp and a distortion pedal I can get Chris's bass sound, but the feedback is terrible.

  • Nice!

  • really nice

  • nice man

  • Badass bass sound period.

  • 黒霧島wwwww

  • cheers m8 thanks for the drum tab and audio download

  • Quality mate, nice cover.

  • If you dont have and octave pedal (octavatitor as i like to say) just tune your E string to a D and your A String to a Low D

Thats what I do and sounds great too.

To JorgeyPorgieBoy611 Thanks for the tabs and music Keep playing

  • K listen to mine insted. lol

  • its kickass but it doesnt sound like the one they did live in seattle..i htink tht version sounds more BA

  • You are my hero in SO many ways right now. That sounds bloody unbelievable, props man, props! And thank you so much for the files!

  • ive been looking all over the muse forums for the mp3 of this without the crowds. awesome job at playing too.

    Keep it up!

  • hell of a job mate :)

  • you are a beast at the bass

i heard this song at one of their concerts and it was crazy

thanks for the cover without live background

  • Comment removed

  • hey man do you know where to get an osaka jam drum cover or just a normal cover of osaka jam? :)

if so, could you please tell me :) thanks

  • i think in the helsinki jam the bass sound wasnt distorted but more like a really high treble sound. i saw them live yesterday.

  • Bravo!

  • Thanks alot mate! Was looking for a decent cover to tab from, but you delivered it, and with an mp3 file also! I've been looking for a similar mp3 file, called Osaka Jam. Do you have it, or do you know where i can find it? Thanks alot!

And thank you for the awesomeness.

  • Thanks mate! Very inspireing! :)

  • Best version I have heard since seeing Muse earlier this week! Great job

  • do u do hammer ons/offs? cus it loks like your right hand isnt moving that fast ...im trying to learn it bt im getting a bit confused lol

  • yes

  • @Wenb3846

I play it like this too... it isn't that hard, when you start trying to play first string octave, pull off, play open first string and hammer on the octave again... repeat it a several times... slowly first, then a bit faster... and then try to improv the notes ^^ sounds great even if you don't play exactly like in this song!

    btw nice job Jorgey

  • sounds like guitar pro sound :/

  • drums were recorded from guitar pro. i don't have a drum set... yet

  • well done man ;)

  • This should have a million views.

    Brilliant rendition.

  • What distortion/fuzz are u using? and price. thank yoiu.

  • I have a BOSS ME-50. I know its for guitars but whatever. I'm using the MUFF and the octave changer. there are other setting i played around with like reverb and stuff.

  • What kind of octave changer do you use?

Is it possible to do this song without it?

  • I bought a new bass so maybe I will

  • @Alexstar66 you could just set up the bass in the Open G tuning [from low to high (DGDG)] and play with the low D and G strings.

  • @Alexstar66 You could lower E and A to D and G, then shift the tab down two strings. It might be a little harder, though.

  • Cool, cool, cool, cool... :D Love it!

  • what's the name of the bass you're using? looks awsome xD

    and amazing cover btw.

  • Its the Dean Bass from the started pack... I need a new one, but it works for now

  • Thats pretty sweet cover you got going on there!!!

  • sorry i diddnt read the descriptioin, i see tabs now, its all good :)

  • oh yeah and what tuning is this in?

  • dropped D while using an octave shifter

  • @JorgeyPorgieBoy611 drop D = unnessecary btw

  • hey, got any tabs for this? i really need to learn it :) thanks

  • decent cover ?!? you nuts ?! This is an amazing cover dude !

  • that was cool!

    and a good audioquali :D

  • can anyone send it to me ina different version than pdf? i cant open it :(

  • go 2 ulitimate guitar n search the tab

  • Finally, a decent cover. With tabs too. Cheers mate.

  • What sort of octaver are you using?

And what settings are you using for this song?

I think their is also some kind of distortion in the bass, is it a boss bass overdrive pedal?

    nice one!

  • this is so cool!
