very cool, I just made one execpt i modified the design to a double walled open low pressure burner stove. this works great because the monster cans are thicker than soda cans providing better support. Nice job! *****
good idea! I just made one and it works great. It's a keeper for my saddlebags, for sure. Thanks! O-yea, ramens may not taste great, but you can't beat them for thier size, weight, easiness to fix. that means alot when your 20 miles from no where. See you on the trails!
Thanks for the kind comments,, Yea ramens are not that tasty but they do the trick,,its better then having nothing to eating in a time of emergency i always say,, Thanks!
I make all kinds of survival stoves, this by far is very good for size anyways, One recommendation is to build a wire screen pot stand just to keep the pot from falling off, the water will move at a rapid boil and could possibly knock the pot off your stove.
Actually I have already done that about 2 days after i made this vid. just never mad a new vid to show the stand. I also added removable handles that fit in 2 of the burner holes on each side. does not affect the flame.
as i used super thin but strong metal rods bent into handles.
Great question I should have shown the construction of it, I actually made this as a vid response to the coke can version watch?v=e9nQen6i8Mo which has all the same features. I just use the monster can because of the cool cap. if you search the tube you can find simple instructions easy enough. i just crimped my bottom cans top edge part and slid the top can over to down the bottom cans edge. if you don't over crimp, it should be rather tight. its also double walled in the inside.
Sweet,, Good job Starzine,, I love mine so far. I can tell it will come in handy in the times to come. Im not a rich dude so this will be a valuable addition to my survival kit im making.
yeah thats exactly what I made them for...the survival backpack!! I made 2 rocket stoves..and 1 pop-can stove proto-type...I tested my rocket stoves on the river one day and cooked hot-dogs on a cast iron frying pan...too funny! ...and I had to back up cause it was too HOT!! They work great...and the wicked part is with the rocket stove you only need twigs to cook up dinner!!!! :)
Starzine that's great,, I need to check into the rocket stove and see what i can make of it. thanks for the info, i see the addition of a rocket stove coming to my survival backpack kit,,lol
cheap survival gear at its best. Great for everyone with electric stoves, camping, hunting, general survival conditions. Im make a few of them so i can cook more than on thing at a time. Also I tell when i was eating the ramen noodles i cooked with the Monster stove. it felt good to know i did it myself,, and they tasted much better, weird i guess, lol.
nice song on the background! what is the title dude? great video

Did you have to prime the stove or did you light the heet from the hole in the top,
RandomXv 1 year ago
@RandomXv No I just let the vapors build up a little and lit it from the hole. it took a few tries but as the vapors built up it lit up easy.
