Despite Liam Neeson's stage presence, I think this actor's portrayal of Collins is more natural. I like how how it does a great job of showing how the bitterness developed between friends. Collins really did think he could get the North back but those in North didn't wanna wait, who knew when that would of been? I don't envy that generation I'll tell ya that.
collins was a true irish hero. dev fecked up any hope of a united ireland wit the civil war. and higgins was a mastermind. he took over the leading role of the free state army and won the war.

@1798Greenflag1916 The British were going to do it instead and he took the very last chance offer after delaying the whole time before the brits were going to do it themselves. Fine Irish tradition...fighting themselves almost as much as invaders. It makes me sad to think of it.
