Nauseating. Moore was getting destroyed, and the referee and Moore's corner didn't lift a finger to stop it at all. If one of the fight officials hadn't taken the initiative and stepped inside the ring to stop the fight, Moore might have been killed.

@mimiSON yer right actually,for a champ he had about 12 fights but,he won amateur titles in 76,77,78,79.thats extensive.he was also trained by a pro.in addition to that,when he won that title he too the japanese champ out easily.so,he was challenged took the fight and lost.legions of guys got really beat up by roberto with much more experience.look at Dejesus[complete veteran,great champ],look at Palamino[who he humiliated],the list goes on and on.i mean yer right,but moore was champ,you fight.

ray mancini is shown at the beginning. the date of this fight is june 16, 1983. this happens to be duran's birthday, you can hear the crowd singing to him after the fight. but ray mancini doesn't have any fights recorded on this date. the closest ones are versus feeney and romero.

The tragedy was that the referee froze and almost allowed a tragedy to take place. Duran was as great a fighter as i have ever seen.
@4Xderrick As I recall very few people gave Duran a chance. I don't believe that we ever saw the best of Davey Moore but unfortunately professional boxing/sport eats young people up. Peace.
