  • $80 billion for an electric dam? thats too expensive!! The reason is that politicians give contracts to foreign owned companies so we cannot trace the transactions or deals made behind close doors. The foreign contractors give the politicians compensation and bonuses for awarding contracts. the same issue with the coach selection process for our Black stars soccer team. thats why world cup matches or tournament look more like experiments instead of a competition. our players ok good.

  • we have to be specific when we talk about corruption. the finance minister made a good point by pointing to the problem of corruption in the whole of africa. its an acceptable practice just like the brainwash by religions especially christianity in ghana. you cannot hold any pastor or person in government accountable if you know nothing about the religion or the government u under. there is an acceptable ignorance in ghana and thats fuels corruption. we dont love Gh we just like talking.

  • and also, neoliberalism isn't bad for everyone in the gloabl south. There is a privileged elite that gets rich just like in our countries in the north. Internationalism is the only way we can win! We must unite across borders to face our common enemy, our oppressers - the bosses, the corporations and the governments.

  • great documentary. nice to have a specific look at Ghana - not that the strategies of the IMF, World Bank, US, Western Europe don't have devastating effects on the whole of the global south, but these policies affect those at the bottom too. and people in those countries have their own ideas about how they should develop, and those ideas should be heard.

  • Very good

  • Sehr gute Dokumentation...
