I wonder what the reaction would have been if it was a Muslim man dressed in a traditional Muslim dress with a long beard and turban? Americans in general still see Muslim women with bit more sympathy. I am a proud Muslim who lived in the UK. During my 7 year stay I came across direct racist behaviour about 3-4 times, on 2 of those occasions I was directly insulted. Overall I think ppl do allow you to observe your religious obligations. In my opinion 15% r racist, 30% quite & 55% r good people.
