i remember when KDFI 27 had a amber alert slide it was yellow and had a white outline of 2 children and next to them it said amber alert and it gets more disturbing the voice said "this is an amber alert" and played that siren (im in radio its called an edis tone) many many times and during the eas header and attention tones. when i saw that it scared the living shit out of me i cried when i saw this and scarred me for life, every time i saw that i could not sleep well that night it came on.....

the sound is hear at around the 0:20 mark in the vid, and you may have to adjust the volume on your speaker/headphone to hear it since the audio was recorded off of my webcam. and it was a warm day that day and the fan was on and clearly heard in the vid.

I have a NOAA Weather Radio that I keep on most of the time, and those National Weather Service alerts are a little bit scary, and EXTREMELY annoying as hell, but that Amber Alert sounds like something straight out of the worst horror film imaginable. Here in Michigan we don't have a sound for Amber Alerts. A message just scrolls the bottom of the screen or side of the screen. Actually, we barely have any sounds for EAS alerts either. Instead, if there's a weather problem, the freakin weather channel pops up and refuses to let you change the channel. It's annoying. xD
