I find The Sweet very similar to Queen, not in a bad way at all. They have amazing vocals and use a very choir-like sound on their harmonies. The Sweet are much more underappreciated overall, but I think anybody who likes Queen will also find them very wonderful. Brian has a great voice.

At the end of 1974 the band split from the duo. The period between 1974 and 1978 heralded The Sweet´s finest hour. In fact for a brief period, in august 1976, The Sweet were the highest paid rock act in the world.

@Merca230e I'm not convinced this is a live performance, for four reasons. Firstly, the bass isn't plugged in. Secondly, the guitar somehow manages to change chords with the left hand not moving and the right hand being up near his face. Thirdly, drums to do not sound that good live if it's not mic'd up for the PA to control. Lastly, the bass player goes far too far away from the mic on one of his vocal parts. Lead vocals are probably live though, and it is a great song :)

Not the best video! It's just another clip of the band lip-syncing and it's a damn shame because the were very good live. When I first heard this song as a kid I hated it. Upon growing up, my teenage daughter started getting into the band and the more she played the song the more I liked it. Very "campy" yet very catchy. Same as "Blockbuster!" Does anyone know why they were rarely allowed to use their own written material prior to hitting it big with "Fox On The Run?"
