There are moose very much like this one walking the streets of Anchorage every year.It doesn't matter what part of Alaska you are in there is always a big one around to rule the others.Shot my first moose forty years ago and there is still nothing that tasts that good at the grocery store.

Great music. Extremely dark and foreboding and yet beautiful. The moose is not an immediately pretty creature, however it's beauty comes from the fact that it's so damm imposing. To think that the moose lives out there in that endless vast array of dark Alaskan trees while we sleep in homes every night. Also the size of that sukkers horns, imagine carrying that on your head! truly a creature from another world. Quiet, meditative, a dark spirit.

I am 47 now but when I was a kid I spent every summer in oregon,(all over that state) and I use to love comming across the real older bull elks, they were so big and beautiful to watch.. On a rare occasion Id see a bull moose, , Some of the bull moose taxidermy heads i use to see as a kid were just enormous, .. Too bad you dont see them anymore...good to see a post where its not being shot at!!!

Frankly I don't think hunting is necessary. Nature regulates its self. It may be long and painful, but it’s natural, and hunters are starting to adopt a “god complex”. If I was a moose I would be happier knowing I tried my best, and I just didn't make it. And just get shot out of nowhere for sport. Don't hunt amazing animals like this. Just take pics or awesome video like this. It's just as good and hard to do.
I'm not saying dont hunt at all, just dont kill the amazing specimens that are out there. WHat's the point if youre just hunting for the meat?

Great music. Extremely dark and foreboding and yet beautiful. The moose is not an immediately pretty creature, however it's beauty comes from the fact that it's so damm imposing. To think that the moose lives out there in that endless vast array of dark Alaskan trees while we sleep in homes every night. Also the size of that sukkers horns, imagine carrying that on your head! truly a creature from another world. Quiet, meditative, a dark spirit.

@runeiceb2 I totally agree...moose have freedom to run and even if they are big, they can move fast...compared to the cattle that are anchored down and literally slaughtered...give me the choice...be tied down and beat to death, or give me a chance to run away...which would these anti-hunters take???

I am 47 now but when I was a kid I spent every summer in oregon,(all over that state) and I use to love comming across the real older bull elks, they were so big and beautiful to watch.. On a rare occasion Id see a bull moose, , Some of the bull moose taxidermy heads i use to see as a kid were just enormous, .. Too bad you dont see them anymore...good to see a post where its not being shot at!!!

Frankly I don't think hunting is necessary. Nature regulates its self. It may be long and painful, but it’s natural, and hunters are starting to adopt a “god complex”. If I was a moose I would be happier knowing I tried my best, and I just didn't make it. And just get shot out of nowhere for sport. You work hard your whole life to survive and some man, cowering behind a bush 10-100ft away, uses a tool to take your life. Doesn’t even have the nerve to look you in the eye and take you head on.

You destroy nature much more than any single hunter ever could without even looking at your massacre, agriculture, roadways, and powerplants destroy animal habitat and create pollution killing far more nature than hunters ever could. Not to say natural order is a bad process but your comment contradicts itself, you kill more without even awknowledging it

Can't wait until they are introduced to West Virginia! The climate in the high valleys and mountains would do well for them. Very much like Canada/New England. And there are bogs and some "salt" marshes that would be beneficial to them as well.
