What an awesome tribute! Say what you want about Steven Gray but he has won some big games for us and had some big moments and he is definitely one of the most interesting characters Gonzaga basketball has seen!! He will be missed!!! We love you Steven!
A great tribute to Steven, a super talented player and team leader. You've taught the fans here in River City lots by your professionalism and steady leadership. We wish you the very best in whatever path you may choose and hope you come back
Don't listen to these punk ass comments below !! You given us everything you have to offer, that's all anyone can ask. Do what you want, give it your best, and remember..."It is what it is" Thanks for the memories and have a great future !!!!
I'm not a Gonzaga fan, although I root for them when I see them play. I happened to stumble upon this video randomly and I must say this is one of the most well-made videos I've seen in a really long time. This made me really love Steven Gray and Gonzaga Basketball. I live in New York City, but I will be rooting for the 'Zags big time tomorrow vs. St. John's!
Honestly, I think it's great Steve is interested in all these off the court endeavors. That said, I am a Gonzaga basketball fan, and wish for him to return to his freshman form for the NCAA tournament. If you remember his freshman year, he was the only reason we were even in the game against Davidson. I will say this, on the court, and I stress ON THE COURT, I think he's done more harm than good in the past two years. I can't wait for Gary Bell and Kevin Pangos to come in and take his spot.
That said, I wish him all the success in the world with his acting and charitable endeavors. But I can't wait for a new guard to take his place. Possibly someone who doesn't disappear in clutch situations after their freshman year, someone who can make a simple pass and not throw the ball out of bounds all the time. Someone who can actually lead the team, that was the biggest thing I disagreed with in the video. He's not a leader. Marquise Carter is a leader. Bout the only one we have, and Sacre
@1by1illknockuout I somewhat agree with you about Gray but (as far as passing) its not just Gray, the whole team (except Stockton) needs to take a refresher course on passing. The last three years its been agony to watch the zags pass, they lob the ball to a man with a defender on him. Passing is basic fundamental b-ball. There is 3 kinds: Over the head, Chest and bounce passes, occasionally you could use a one handed baseball type of pass, but don't ever lob pass or even cross court pass
@rapolitical ...have you thought about the coaching? What coach lets that type of crappy passing go on for years. As far as Sacre, leader? Maybe in practice and in huddle but Dower's play hopefully will mostly keep Sacre on bench until he learns how to box out on both ends and not run around with his hands up but never actually posting up. Again, he needs a big man coaching clinic ALL Summer. He's often the biggest guy out there and should dominate. He dominates nothing. Horrible.
When Sacre does get the ball, he doesn't have a go to shot. Unless a dunk, that's all he should ever go up and do. Otherwise, it's put it on the floor, spin around, try a hook, try something tentative. Nothing. He should have a solid 1 or 2 2-4 foot shot, off the backboard, simple, doesn't think about it, money, but - NO! He gets it & stutters. Aack! Plays like a freshman. Back to video :-) Best video I've seen. Great tribute! Thank you, Steven! Best of luck to you! Go Lady Zags !
We're gonna miss you, Steven! You've contributed so much to the basketball team and to the Gonzaga community at large over the past four years. Thank you for everything and continue to follow your passions and dreams! GO ZAGS!
The best tribute I could think of giving my all around favorite Zag player ever!
Good luck to you Steven. May life give you everything you've ever hoped, dreamed, and wanted. You will always be remembered here in Spokane and at Gonzaga.
