i always thought this song was about the secret powers[cia, fbi, all kinds of secret police, corporations etc] are merely human mortals just like us, and can be overthrown.
some advices for you, too- you never know when - but (they say) it WILL happen someday and you wanna be prepared. It's embarresing when your friends and family- bouquets of flowers- scent of phemeldahide- the chart showing your immenent demise-NOW IS THE TIME-and you forget what to reveal and having your last words be something really trite. It's like when you're asked 'what's your favorite movie/song/etc.? and you answer 'oh, there's SO MANY' instead of THE RIGHT ANSWER- ...
i am imagining the THE RIGHT ANSWER would be only something you deemed correct....... Not everyone desires to spend their life preparing for death. And after your dead, what does it matter what variety of flowers (botanist?) people put on your grave, casket, urn... your dead... new temporal plane to explore.
All i am saying is don't spend your living time being concerned about others final words sounding trite.
Unless of course your job is to document the last words of corpses.
This is a great, great tune... very original and very captivating. The simplicity of the format just makes it more brilliant.
